Light it Up!
For anyone paying attention, we have been in a solar storm all weekend. Sunspots on the Sun have fired off a total of 7 X Class Solar Flares, which have sent their energy out at us.
Now if you have been catching the news on TV, the extent of what they have said or shown was pretty pictures of Auroras (You know, the Northern Lights) all throughout the United States and down as far as Mexico and Puerto Rico.
If you have dug a little deeper into this (I follow Suspicious0bservers) you are aware that it is potentially more serious that mainstream science is going to tell us. This is where catastrophism comes in. And we have to consider whether we are really as safe as we have always felt here on this planet. And whether the Earth Changes we are seeing have more to do with things we can’t control than climate change from human derived sources.
This chart shows what part 1 of the solar storm looked like. And there is still another hit at least as strong as what you see that will arrive within the next 24 hours.
What to expect (from earth.com):
- Power Grids: Strong geomagnetic storms can induce currents in power lines, causing transformers to overheat and potentially leading to widespread power outages.
- Satellite Communications: Charged particles can damage satellite electronics and disrupt communication signals.
- GPS and Navigation Systems: Geomagnetic disturbances can interfere with the accuracy of GPS and other navigation systems.
- Radio Communications: Storms can disrupt radio signals, affecting communication systems that rely on HF, VHF, and UHF bands.
Also from google:
Geomagnetic radiation can disrupt the body’s circadian rhythm, nervous system, heart rate and blood pressure. It can even contribute to social unrest if people get agitated. During solar flares, people may feel disconnected or low while more fragile individuals may feel imbalanced or emotionally sensitive.
Advice? Stay frosty everyone. Pay attention to what is going on.
What to Do
For me, that has been a lot of grounding. Specifically gardening. It is Spring here in the Northeast and time to get plants in the ground. It is always a crap shoot here. We have seen frost at the end of May. That being said, we hit 88 degrees in April.
I finally was able to get my beds turned and planted yesterday. I had checked the Almanac earlier in the week. I was going to plant on Wednesday, but the Almanac said “Any seed planted now will tend to rot.” Not a good plan.
Now with a little luck (it rained today) we will see cucumbers in June and tomatoes in July.
I think that the real positive part was that I spent a good 3 hours in the sun, with my hands in the dirt, connecting with nature. And since the neighbors were throwing a barbecue in their back yard, the wonderful smell of the grill and good music added to the experience.
My second unpictured garden plot is a whole lot less groomed, but bigger.
Next step will be fencing it off. Our back alley has rabbits, who wreck havoc on my patches.
