“What you see & what you hear depends a great deal on where you are standing. It also depends on what sort of person you are.” C.S. Lewis

Much of the world that we believe we live in has been dictated to us. Consider who it is that is dictating this message.

Back in the middle of the last century, we were asking ourselves a lot about this. Consider the time:

Nazi Germany

Communist Russia

Communist China

Fascist Spain and Italy

The world was flirting in a very large way with totalitarianism. Was it that the 80-90% of the people WANTED to have an all controlling and encompassing government? Or were they driven into it?

Consider what the motives of beginnings of these movements. Its a much much longer discussion than this blog post will go into. But I would like to point out that the fictioneers of the time were noticing it. And they were writing the stories about it. Consider:

George Orwell – 1984 and Animal Farm – Dystopian fiction about life under totalitarianism – Russia, Nazi Germany

Aldus Huxley – Brave New World – Dystopian Government controlling the masses with Drugs – China and the Opium Dens

JRR Tolkien –  Lord of the Rings – World war and Good Vs Evil – WWII

CS Lewis – Narnia, Screwtape – Good and Evil, God vs the Devil

Ayn Rand – Atlas Shrugged, The Fountainhead, We the Living –  Personal Civil Liberties vs Social Control

Consider how the “Where they Were” affected their view on the  world. How their experience through Totalitarianism made them want to tell their stories. Stories to dramatize the depth of their experience. Stories to teach us to not to repeat it.

The “What kind of person you are” goes much deeper. There is the questions of their backgrounds and how they were raised.

Consider religion. Tolkien and Lewis were both Christians, and wrote from that perspective. Though they were not Christian or religious stories, they wrote about the values known within the faith.

Huxley and Orwell wrote about specifically Non Religious lives. Ask yourself what a government would be devoid of religion or where it was specifically limited.

Rand goes a step further by being openly atheistic and antagonistic toward religion.

Consider how these Points of View shaped the characters and actions of the stories.

Then 1984 Happened

I was born in the 60’s, so I did not live the lives of these authors. We are the result of the mindset known by the authors names above. My parents, born in the 30’s grew up with these pieces of fiction – as well as life during wartime and The Cold War. And a world shaped the the Media’s spin on what was going on in the world.

We found out later about the depths of what the CIA were doing throughout the world in battling the Cold War. In the name of protecting our liberty they broke just about every rule of our society. Was it a reaction to the Soviet KGB and slaughtering of millions of their own ethnic populations? Possibly. But where do right and wrong become part of the equation?

In response to the heavy-handedness of our government, we have seen liberal and progressive educational systems forced upon the children of our country. We have gone from Reading Writing and Arithmetic to:

Common Core math reading and writing

Revisionist history

Focus on Environmental science over hard science

Psychology, Sociology and social sciences

The textbooks are mass produced by left-leaning progressives trying to mold the understanding of the next generation. The teachers have been taught by the most progressive teaching standards that the university system can churn out.

There is no question about why the millenial generation is by and large (65%+) favorable towards Socialism. They have been taught that there should be a government that provides protection, and healthcare, and high paying jobs, and everything else. And HAVE NO CLUE what it will take in order to get there, be it the cost in dollar terms or the cost in personal liberties.

Consider this. Doctors have traditionally been considered one of the highest paying professions. It requires YEARS of Schooling and sacrifice to get there. BUT. How many people will really have an interest in the medical profession if the top dollar earning potential is chopped off? The light at the end of the tunnel is turned off. There are not many government workers who can make in the millions. Doctors will become unionized chattel.

And Then There is The Media

The liberal bias in media is pretty much complete in the USA now a days. Anyone who wishes to dispute this, please do so in the comments. I will laugh at you. I have touched on this subject many times. And I hope to do an extensive study of it. But not today.

I came to my understanding of the liberal bias in the media back in the 80’s. For Newspapers, I grew up thinking that the LA Times was a “Conservative” publication. This was something that I would have to live and learn about. For the most part, I had no understanding about bias. I had thought that Reporters were all pretty heroic people dedicated to finding the TRUTH.

Then I traveled to England. There I learned that every tabloid paper was basically dedicated to one political viewpoint or the other. There was not illusion of being “unbiased”. I was shocked by this. But then later appreciative. It became easier to discern which side’s BS you were really reading about. When the news in the US was supposed to be unbiased, you didn’t have to think about it. Or at least that is what they hoped.

Where Does That Lead Us?

As the movie The Matrix showed us by example, there a lot of people who do not want to know, or are not ready to know, the reality around them.

For all of us who took the Red Pill, we must remain diligent. With our own background and education, we must discern what in front of us is fact and what is illusion. Or what is being placed before us to drive us in a specific direction (think cattle down the chute to the slaughter house).

Who do you listen to? What do you read? What do you watch?

These are important questions.

Yesterday was a learning day. SpaceX was teaching millenials what it was like to watch a rocket launch. All of us oldies have seen enough of these where there are endless delays and scrubs.

I loved in the movie The Right Stuff (about the Mercury Rocket program) when the astronaut chose to pee his pants rather than delaying the launch again for a pit stop.

After seeing Challenger explode, I stopped being upset by the delays. While and additional delay would not have prevented that, the idea that they are trying to do everything for safety does not bother me in the least.

So we wait a couple days before 2 more humans venture out into space.

Regarding my Birthday, I was referring to this as my Birthday weekend because of the Memorial Day holiday – and how it always falls around then. It is not actually for a few days yet – the 29th for anyone counting.

As for the 26th, The Christians celebrate it for a who bunch of different Feast days (if you follow the days on Wikipedia, you will find that there is almost always as feast day for some odd Saint. There are seven of them today, which seems a little extreme.

It also marks the 3 year anniversary of the death of Zbigniew Brzezinski – Globalist and cabalist for the Democrat party (think the same thing as Henry Kissinger) and father of Mika Brzezinski – who stars on the MSNBC morning drama Morning Joe, and who is presently the butt of President Trump’s Twitter anger.

But Most Importantly, it is National Paper Airplane Day. So fold some paper and go outside and fly it around a bit. Its a beautiful day here in Eastern Pennsylvania. Have a great day!

– Sabian Symbol for the Solar-Lunar Year: “A Triangle with Wings”

SUN: 13 ARIES – A bomb which failed to explode is now safely concealed

EARTH: 13 LIBRA –  children blowing soap bubbles

The energetics shift today from the challenges of Crescent Moon phase to the boldness that is asked of us with First Quarter Moon Phase.  In the cycle of life, First Quarter Moon phase is the time when a seed breaks through the soil to the light of day, ready for new experiences.  It’s a time of action and a time when we experience changes and growth.

April Fools.

One of the things I am hoping to do is point out days throughout the year that people celebrate. Each Country, each religious group, tribe, call them what you will, has customs. Some are celebrated by a few. Others are celebrated by a lot.

I think it really hit home for me back in about 2010 when I was working on a programming project. We had a team in India providing coding. One day we arrived in the morning for our Conference call with the team and only one person was there. They mentioned that the rest of the team was off for the next few days for a National Holiday.

I felt . . . stupid to say the least. Here was a group of people I talked with and communicated with daily, on weekends, at odd hours of the day and night. And they all took a couple days off. I was embarrassed because I, here in America, had no clue. 1.4 Billion people in India were celebrating and we did not have a clue.

I vowed that day that I would try to change that ignorance. And not just in myself. But in others. Is it just us here in America that are completely clueless about the holidays around the world? Or are the Chinese, the Indians, the Russians, The Congolese also so insulated that they do not pay attention either? We will have to see.

So. April Fools. The day of playing jokes and pranks on people.

Still my favorite prank played on me ever was when my mother served pancakes to me and my friends on April Fools but cooked old rags into the middle of them. I thought it was kinda gross. But funny. I had one friend who was horrified. That really made the day!

And this is a holiday that has had some legs. They trace it back all the way to Chaucer and the Canterbury Tales – The Nun’s Preist’s Tale. Since it was written in old English and people still have trouble translating it. They are still not exactly sure if April 1 was that day for tricks and jokes. But let’s just go with it. Here is an example of the Old English:

For he that wynketh, whan he sholde see,
Al wilfully, God lat him nevere thee!”

“Nay,” quod the fox, “but God yeve hym meschaunce,
That is so undiscreet of governaunce
That jangleth whan he sholde holde his pees.”

Lo, swich it is for to be recchelees
And necligent, and truste on flaterye.
But ye that holden this tale a folye,
As of a fox, or of a cok and hen,

            Taketh the moralite, goode men.
For Seint Paul seith that al that writen is,
            To oure doctrine it is ywrite, ywis;
Taketh the fruyt, and lat the chaf be stille.

I took an Ancient English Lit class in college. All I can say is that if you read it out loud, it makes more sense. We read wonders like Beowulf, The Fairy Queen and Paradise Lost. I cannot say I would recommend it as light reading, but I remember the stories very well. I think it was the effort I had to put into reading it. I Aced the class.

So for April Fools, I hope you enjoyed the day.

– Aspect of the Aeon Sophia: (Wisdom) Chinnamasta, Goddess who expands the Mind

– Aspect of the Aeon Thelete: (Will/Desire): Ian, God of the East, God of Wisdom

SUN: 09 ARIES – A crystal gazer

EARTH: 09 LIBRA –  three old masters hanging in a special room in an art gallery

Crescent Moon Phase

This is the point where we take off. The New Moon phase is one of planning an intentions. Crescent is time to move. An we are faced with two opposite forces.

One is the excitement and exuberance of what we have just planned. This excitement can send us forward on the new adventure.

The Opposing force is the challenge. We question our intentions. Seeing the way forward, we may may stumble and lose our way.

March 24, 2020

The Crescent phase is where we decide if we have the metal to move forward.

Here is where understanding your personal astrology, and comparing it to the astrology of today, can help see you forward. What may be aspecting in your chart to help?

To the right I have the chart I published on March 24th – The day of the New Moon. There are two places to look at that are important.

FIRST – Imagining the chart as a clock, look at the position about 8:30. This shows the aspects directly in line with the sun at the New Moon . Of course, the Sun and the Moon are together. But dancing with them are both Chiron and The Black Moon. The energies of these together are significant to what is happening to us all month (and if you have been listening to Laura Walker) and since January. I have personally been watching them because they are a bullseye aspect to my personal chart. So I have been swimming it it pretty hard.

So what does that mean? HOMEWORK – find out. Its fun doing homework (haha) especially for all of us parents under Stay at home orders. We just received instruction from our schools about the homework the kids are required to do every day. So look it up on a search engine. Here are some phrases you may want to try:

Sun Conjunct Black Moon

Sun Conjunct Chiron

Moon Conjunct Chiron

Black Moon Conjunct Chiron (You may not find much online. Check out Laura Walker’s book Astrology of the Black Moon available free from www.oraclereport.com.

SECOND – Imagining the chart as a clock, look at the position about 11:00. You will see Saturn Conjunct Pluto and Jupiter Conjunct Mars. These are both significant aspects. And they are moreso because they happen at the Midheaven – which speaks to Life’s Path.

Homework again. Look it up!

Each of these aspects describe the energy we are under right now. I like visualizations to make sense of this. Imagine you are surfing (my favorite visualization). You are sitting on your board out in the ocean and things are happening that are completely beyond your control Waves are coming, There is a riptide, wind, sharks, sand dunes, shorebreak, the water is cold. You can go on and on.

The question is, how do you adjust to these conditions? And before that, how do you even know about them?

Starting with your own chart, you may see where you are very apt at dealing with some conditions, and others are more challenging.
