Happy Monday! Find your passion, your spark. Unleash that fire inside.
When was the last time you took stock of where you are to determine whether or not you are getting where you want to go? I am reminded of the quote, “Find a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” It is attributed to so many people, including Confucius and Mark Twain. But consider how true it is.
You can turn it another way and say, “Find out what you like doing best and get someone to pay you for doing it.” This quote, Google tells me, is from Katherine Whitehorn. I have no idea about her, but I like what she is saying.
In theory it the the goal of our education system to help people realize this. You go to school. Find out what you are interested in. You find that passion. And then follow your dream. Hmmm.
How often does this happen? I can only speak for myself. In the 20 years I worked in the corporate world, this was true for 18 of them. Not that living my dream profession made me rich. But that I was being paid for jobs that I loved doing. Since then, I have done work that I love. Getting paid well for it is quite another thing.
I think it kind of sucks that our education system does not produce the results we might want. Having lived through it (myself and through the lives of my kids) I would say it does not do a particularly good job at discovering people’s passions. Rather it helps find those Tiny Boxes for each to fit into. They can be like Joe, who works in a Button Factory.
Otherwise, when someone actually discovers their passion along the way, it may allow them to pursue it. But not necessarily how to monetize that dream dreams.
But I believe that it does a better job of it than most others.
Let me explain.
In the US, we grew up seriously questioning life outside of our world. Specifically in countries with totalitarian rule that do not honor people’s sovereignty. Specifically . . . communist regimes.
We were always led to believe that in these countries, your career was chosen for you and you followed what you were told. If you excelled in a particular field, you were promoted there, whether you liked it or not.
Never seemed like a good system. We were taught about the Freedom of Choice. And being told what your life would be did not seem to be a free choice.
The Passion
I bring up all this background information for a purpose. And that is to talk about my present passion – writing. Astrogardens (and my previous blog Brightersidenow) both began as outlets for writing. Call them an excuse to keep doing it. The blog became the purpose and the space to do it in. The fact that there has been an audience is just a bonus for me.
So you know, it is all me. No AI. The whole AI phenomenon has me scratching my head pretty hard. I mean, I did watch the movies Alien and The Terminator (to name just a couple). In SciFi, a main theme often deployed is Man vs Technology. And the existence of AI is at the heart of a Man vs Technology storyline. I still get chills when I hear a version of the HAL9000 computer saying Hello Dave.
Besides, using AI would defeat the purpose of writing anyhow.
With Astrogardens, I get to explore my passions. On the one hand, it offers the daily Astrological aspects. I have been doing this for years and specifically looking at the chart for the day to see the energetic mix. For people who do not follow this, just know it is like checking the weather every day. It is always different. And there is often something interesting to pay attention to. Most notably, the phase of the Moon.
From there, I can go just about anywhere. I track the Almanac Calendars for Best Days and Planting. I give updates on my own garden. Its purpose is to provide food for my family. It is also a training ground for how to survive in the case of the the World tips over or society goes to hell (and the Shit Hits the Fan SHTF). I pay attention to Spaceweather (related to Astrology). And also keep my eyes on Global Politics – one of the greatest threats to our daily way of life.
If you have been following me for any amount of time, you know this. If not, then welcome along for the ride.
The Politicization of the Courts in the Final Days of the Biden Regime
As I said, I keep an eye on Global politics. And over the weekend, a lot happened. I have often mentioned about how politics are being waged like a game of 5D chess. This analogy has been made by many in regard to Trump. He is multiple moves ahead of his opponents. Often seeming to be playing elsewhere. This weekend shows that well.
Ask yourself what this Trucker strike means to the present front lines of the Lawfare war against Trump. Truckers, incensed by the verdicts in the Lawfare trials against The Donald have decided to stop delivering in New York. Where will this lead?
The Canadian Trucker Strike – which was finally won through another Law-War – provides an example. All against the government’s draconian COV1D policies. But the personal cost to the Truckers was extreme. The message was sent.
And look at the Farmers in Europe. They are saying that they have nothing more to lose. Their strike is for their livelihood against the insane environmental policies of the New World Order. They are saying . . . Let Them Eat . . . nothing. Good for them.
What is New York Strike saying in the NWO/Democrat fight against Trump? If the Truckers and other Patriots have the backbone, it will be a shift in the battle lines. The left OWNS the New York Courts. And they have shown that they are willing to use it – the actual law be damned.
Now ask . . . what can the rest of us do. The rest of us who are not Truckers. A boycott of New York is not so easy while sitting in Texas or Florida. And New York itself is just a battleground.
I suggest starting with the Entertainment industry. Specifically – all NY based News and Talk Shows. But why stop there. I can see little value in any of the entertainment industry. Start by stuffing a dirty sock in the mouth of the dragon.
I will be a force of one. Who wants to join me?
