Happy Monday! “The most important thing is to enjoy your life – to be happy. It’s all that matters.” – Audrey Hepburn
How do you become happy? This is a question that some spend their whole lives and more money than can be counted trying to achieve. But is there a simple way? Just snap you fingers and you become happy? Maybe and maybe not. But there may be some shortcuts.
I am stealing a list or two from a random search of tools to help you be more happy. I have added little tidbits of my own, but the list is from https://buffer.com/resources/be-happy-today/ if you want it from the source with their commentary.
1. Exercise — even 10 minutes is enough. I personally stretch and walk every day. But am looking for more whenever I can.
2. Sleep more — you’ll feel like you’ve won the lottery. Since being in the hospital, I crave more sleep and seek it out every day. A little nap here. Earlier to bed by a half hour.
3. Move closer to work (or work from home). Work commutes are a constant cause for stress. Especially if there is traffic. I recommend loud music to get you through it.
4. Spend time with friends and family. We need social interactions to live. Can you do it alone? Maybe. But we feed off of each others’ energy.
5. Get outside somewhere green-ish. Do you have a favorite place to go? Find one. For city folk, get a plant or two.
6. Help others to help yourself
7. Practice smiling — it can alleviate pain
8. Laugh Often – And if you have nothing to laugh about, then force it. Motivational Speaker Ed Forman famously made his audiences laugh for 15 seconds. He then “prescribed” it 3 times per day.
9. Plan a trip — you don’t even need to take it. Imagining the trip is not only fun, but it stretches you mind.
10. Meditate — Have you tried it? Do you know how? It is a way to rewire your brain for happiness. If you are unfamiliar, they try something you know. Be silent. Say a prayer.
11. Practice gratitude to increase both happiness and life satisfaction
Update on the Taylor Swift Extravaganza
I forgot to include one of the salient points in my diatribe about Taylor Swift and her F-Buddy in the NFL.
I did note about how she has become the left’s It Girl over the past 3 years. But I neglected to point out about her boyfriend Travis Kelsey.
Young Travis – former Eagle turned Chief – has also become a poster child – for the Vaxine industry. It seems he just was in a nationwide commercial for Pfizer – smiling and happy – doing the Rah Rah Cheer for getting your next C0vid booster.
Now ask yourself the question: Are they using Travis’ new found fame being the pull toy for Taylor Swift this month to promote the failing Big Pharma company who just recently had to announce a “writedown” in profit – due to people not wanting to sip the sauce????? Couldn’t happen to a nicer group of folks!
Thank about it. Pay Attention!
