Your comfort zone is what has gotten you to where you are today. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. You can ask the question about where you may want to be in the furture. An exact answer may not come to you right away. But you might see a new direction. Rather than thinking you need a complete plan, start yourself along that pathway. Once you move forward, look around a bit and get your bearings. And start again. Small steps.
Oh, and it’s North America Day
In the US, we celebrate President’s Day today. It is on or about the third Monday of the month off February. We used to celebrate George Washington’s on the Third weekend in Feb, and Lincoln’s Birthday on the Second. There is some question as to whether it is a federal holiday or a state holiday. All I know is that when I was a kid in California, it was two consecutive 3-day weekends.
I think it all kind of resolved itself into a single President’s Day holiday when they had to find room for aonther holiday on the third Monday in January. So WTF, squeeze these two together and there you go. I wonder if that is how it worked for Juneteenth?
Also, to be equally as confuced and F’d up, most of Canada’s provinces have a holiday on the Third Monday of February. Some call it family day. Other’s Heritage day. Frankly it is about as made up as Boxing Day (you know, the day after Christmas that the Aristocrats allow their servants to celebrate with their families? Or is that the day they all jump in a frozen pond in their boxers? I have no idea.)
I would suggest one of two things. 1) Change it to Universal North America Day and invite Mexico to take part as well, or 2) Just call it Happy Monday!
