What Shadows Can We See?
Last week we had the first evil rodent in the news with that damn Pennsylvania creature that wakes up every February 2nd. For me the only thing interesting about that date is that it is my grandson’s birthday. That being said, I was out driving last Monday in Lancaster, PA and saw one of these rodents sunning himself on top of a pile of snow. Whether or not Punxsutawney Phil can actually perform weather astrology remains to be seen. I call him the harbinger of doom. Because let’s face it. February 2 is still a Long way off until we have weather that I can go barefoot and wear shorts.
However a second evil rodent showed his head last weekend at the Superbowl. Though the real story started when Bad Bunny was named to be the halftime performer for the annual ultimate game of the season for American football. And when it was announced, I said out loud, “Who the Fuck is that?”
Now I may question whether I am in the age range of the fans of Bad Bunny. Or he is just not my favored genre of music. For the record, I fall into the category of early Gen X and I prefer classic rock, punk, 80’s alternative and grunge music. The announcement, to me, just seemed weird. Why would they choose an artist I had never heard of? Am I that out of touch with the popular music scene? How embarrassing.
Admittedly, there have been many “crossover” latino musicians. Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin, Pittbull, Selena, Carlos Santana, Shakira, Los Lobos. But all of them “crossed-over” and appealed to the wider English-speaking market in the USA. Bad Bunny? Not so much. Or at least that has been the impression I have gotten. Still can’t say I have heard anything by him.
What Matters?
But at the 10,000 foot level, the politics of it all become a little more clear. Consider that this level of politics has been in play since the year 2020. You know. When COVID hit and George Floyd was killed in Minneapolis. The NFL was facing hard times. People were not allowed in large gatherings (empty stadiums). Players were discouraged from being in close contact with each other. as I recall, many of them were being quarantined.
Add to that, with the election and all, the entertainment industry (TV, Movies, Sports) had gone whole hog towards stirring the world into a racial frenzy. Black Lives Matter and Antifa took control that summer.
Also remember that about 56% of the players in the NFL are black. Compared with about 25% white. And no one wanted America’s Game (also called a crypto-fascist metaphor for nuclear war) to turn into a racial battlefield.
The NFL, under Commissioner Roger Goodell has committed its teams to support Social Justice causes. They had previously faced issues with different players, starting with Colin Kapernick, who chose kneel in protest during the National Anthem. But now it was more serious
Since 2020, the NFL has allowed players to display approved social justice messages on the back of their helmets to promote unity and address systemic racism. These helmet decals include phrases like “End Racism,” “Black Lives Matter,” “Stop Hate,” “Inspire Change,” “Say Their Stories,” and “It Takes All of Us”. Similar statements are displayed in the endzones of each of the stadiums where games are played.
Now Where Does All This Get Us?
The naming of Bad Bunny to the Halftime Show was just another extension of these DEI policies. I know this because I saw Roger Goodell say so in an interview Sunday Morning before the game. At least he admits it out loud. Same with the decision to have Leftist Punk band Green Day perform before the game.
With Green Day, at least we could hear the message that was being said out loud and in English.

They did bleep out the “mindfuck” part I will say.
As for Bad Bunny, his message is 100% left wing, anti-America. But since it was in Spanish, only a small percentage of people in this country could understand it. Which did not stop the entirely of the entertainment industry and those counting themselves as Democrats from slobbering all over themselves about what a wonderful performance it was.
For me, I was doing the dishes, so I missed it. I will say however that a majority of the kids at my house (about 12 of them ages 18-25) were excited to see it and flocked to the living room for seats to watch. All but 2 of them left after the first song. As an FYI, I cannot remember ever watching a Superbowl halftime show before (except when Justin Timberlake exposed Janet Jacksons nip – that I remember).
Back to 10,000 Feet
The purposes of this bizarre political experiment were pretty simple. The issue of the day is immigration – and specifically illegal immigrants. Now let’s face it Puerto Ricans are Americans. In Bad Bunny’s own words, he was refusing to play concerts in America because he feared that ICE agents would be there to arrest potential illegal aliens that were in attendance.
The immigrant problem we have in the country today has been a left-wing operation. Politicians in charge over the previous administration opened the floodgates to have them come in. And the Globalist world order were incentivizing people south of our border (and pretty much around the world to join them) in their marches.
Similar patterns have been seen throughout Europe as well. For them it is African and Syrians for the most part who have streamed into European Countries and disrupted them as much as they have been doing here.
The Pysyop
The psyop we are seeing with this particular public relations stunt is one of PR (Public Relations and not Puerto Rico that is).
A couple weeks ago, the Grammy Awards gave Bad Bunny some huge accolade (can’t tell you what but it was important to them). Is it because his music was good? Popular? Or was it part of a plan to legitimize him before the Superbowl?
On Monday, the mainstream focus was not on the winners of the game, but on the halftime show. All the morning news shows simply slobbered over the event. Newsclips ran all day long. All heaping praise on the show.
All across Social Media (or at least Facebook), my left wing “friends” were also slobbering over it. And my right wing friends were either criticizing it, moaning about it or praising the Turning Point hosted YouTube Alternative concert (I did not watch that one either.
I see it as a propaganda war. We will have to watch who ends up on top.
