Why Study Your Natal Astrology Chart?
Your birth (or natal) chart pinpoints the precise location of the planets in the sky at the time of your birth. Why would you want to know this? Analyzing this can reveal what truly makes you YOU. It’s a snapshot of the universe’s energy the moment you entered the world. And this Energy is imprinted upon you at Birth.
Most people believe that all there is to know about astrology is “YOUR SIGN.” That sign – also known as you sun sign – is the location of the sun in the Zodiac on the day of your birth. Thanks to mass media, you can read your “Horoscope” each day either in a newspaper or online.
These horoscopes were a great way to take up newspaper space. People would read the front page headlines, the sports page, the weather, the comics and their Horoscope.
Exactly what the “horoscope” offers is beyond me for understanding. The energy going on in any day is far to nuanced to apply to everyone within a sun sign.
Understanding the Nuance
Studying your Natal Chart helps to decode the subtleties of the energies in your chart. You have to ask yourself what planets may affect that Sun placement. Where was the Moon at the time of your birth? How does it all fit together?
I am in the process of plagiarizing an article about reading your chart and the importance of aspects (HEY WHY NOT? If it is OK for the President of Harvard University to do it, then any of us can!). Expect it in the next few days.
Do You Have Your Natal Chart?
Through my association with Oracle Report, I have been offering Astrology Charts for sale. I run the charts and send them to you along with a plethora of explanatory information about how to read it.

BLACK MOON
On the days of the year that your natal Black Moon is activated, typically one can expect: lower energy levels, heightened anger/depression, impulsivity, speaking harshly before thinking, extreme intolerance of injustice, negative thinking/mind loops, and projecting one’s own feelings on to others. The core fear of the shadow side comes to the surface. VENUS
On the days of the year that your Venus is activated, typically one can expect to be more concerned about: a romantic relationship or the lack thereof, appearance, the desire for security, creature comforts, increased appetite, self-esteem, sexuality, finances, and aging. These days can also be highly creative. It is important to think twice about major decisions on these days, as we may not be seeing situations accurately.
SATURN
On the days of the year that your Saturn is activated, typically one can expect: hyper criticism of self and others, feelings of failing in one’s responsibilities, potential health concerns, feeling that one does not “measure up,” issues with one’s work, heightened control issues (trying to control the uncontrollable through organizing and ordering), feeling burdened, and feeling judged. The “Critical Inner Parent” goes into overdrive and we exaggerate our “faults.” It is important to take personal responsibility on these days, but it is just as important to give oneself a break.
NATAL CHARIKLO
Our Natal Chariklo shows us the place of ascension to a higher level. The Sabian Symbol of the degree for the natal Chariklo provides clues on how to ascend the wisdom we have already gained with Chiron. Chariklo asks us to reinterpret Chiron using her “filter.” It is our job to discover what these Sabian symbols are telling us.
