  1. How to determine which of the 8 moon phases a given date falls in:

On the Natal (or Event) Chart, start at the Sun’s position and then move
counter-clockwise around the circle to the Moon’s position, counting how
many degrees of the circle you traverse. This determine’s the Moon Phase.

New Moon Phase = Moon 0 to 45 degrees ahead of the Sun
Crescent Moon Phase = Moon 45 to 90 degrees ahead of the Sun
1st Quarter Moon Phase = Moon 90 to 135 degrees ahead of the Sun
Gibbous Moon Phase = Moon 135 to 180 degrees ahead of the Sun
Full Moon Phase = Moon 180 to 225 degrees ahead of the Sun
Disseminating Phase = Moon 225 to 270 degrees ahead of the Sun
3rd Quarter Moon Phase = Moon 270 to 315 degrees ahead of the Sun
Balsamic Moon Phase = Moon 315 to 0 degrees ahead of the Sun

That is the easy calculation. Looking for an ephemeris giving exact times. Lunarium used to post it.

      1. Yeah, still waiting on the ‘new’ version of Lunarium too – I sure miss some of their feature that don’t work anymore
