Watching the vaunted Address to America from President Joe Brandon was just another chapter of “OH MY GOD IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING?”
I have to break it down, as I am still in a state of shock:
The Presentation: His handlers knew that he would have to look the part. However, for the past 8 years, the media and the institutional left have had a field day with Trumps Orange makeup. It was the constant focus of jokes. Here we are 3 and 1/2 years into Biden’s presidency, and we see his desicated body being reanimated with the same cheeto-colored Trump has always worn.
The Speech – Content – Joe Biden is many things. Not among them are articulate and erudite. Nor “educated”. He may have a law degree, but his low class standing and accusations of plagiarism mark hem as not so studious. Therefore this speech, written to convey intelligence and support a legacy for his presidency. And of course, he repeated every campaign slogan lie that they have promoted in their commercials since late April. It is a funny thing that the same institutional left went so bat-shit crazy over Trump’s hyperbolic speeches that they created an industry of Fact Checkers. If they had actually created an organization the checked facts, they would have gone crazy with this speech. And it was clearly about 5 grade levels above anything Biden sounded credible saying.
The Speech – Delivery – Joe sat at the President’s desk in the oval office. VERY CLEARLY looking 1 foot about and to the left of the camera where the teleprompter was located. You could see his eyes scanning the words he was reading. And he mispronounced a lot of it. This is where the orange makeup around the eyes became most disturbing to look at. His eyes were glowing out of his face.
The Punchline – After completing his Democrat Party rah rah speech (not to be confused with an address to the entire nation of Americans), even my wife, a faithful democrat, was shaking her head. Her comment: “He didn’t even say why he wasn’t running. I thought that was the point.”
The Lamestream Commentary – Now, as usual, we watched this travesty on CBS. It was immediately followed by the crack CBS “News” team headed by Nora O’Donald and featuring my favorite yellow political hack Mike Dickerson. Please understand. I love me some color commentating. Especially when that is what I want to hear. I watch CNN or MSNBC when I want reliable Left wing spin. I look for Fox for the word from the right. Call me an idealist, but I would expect to have at least some modicum of non bias on the networks. I know they are not at all, but I expect it none the less. The amount of absolute slobbering and heartfelt love for dear Brandon from the entire CBS staff truly made me want to hurl up my dinner. I turned on Fox for a few minutes, and at least had a good laugh. They were lampooning the speech, as I would expect.
In the end, I was hoping beyond hope that Biden’s handlers would have done the right thing and had him quit. I have no desire to see Kamala ascend to the throne. But it is obvious that Joe has no idea which end is up. Meaning the shadow government is firmly in control. With Kamala, at least we would have someone to blame.
So for anyone who watched this bizarre display, who might possibly have believed any of the claims and platitudes from tonight’s debacle, I offer you this reminder of what has actually happened in the last 3 1/2 years:
