What is Good Propaganda?
Or maybe we should revise that to say “What is effective propaganda?” Calling it good makes you question whether it means Good vs Bad or Good vs Evil.
Let’s face it. Propaganda presents itself to us every day. Some of it is crafty messaging designed to control your thoughts and get you to be an obedient citizen. Others are just trying to get you to buy a Burger from McDonalds. It is up to us, the stupid citizenry, to sift through it all and not be improperly influenced by it.
One of the great examples of Propaganda is presented in the book 1984 by George Orwell. It presents a government that controls the masses by spreading propaganda and cracking down on subversive thought. And as a pretty famous facebook meme states “1984 was supposed to be a warning not an instruction manual.” Yet here we are.
Funny thing though that soon after the book was published, the CIA began Operation Mockingbird. It was just one of a number of influence operations that attempted to manipulate domestic American news media organizations for propaganda purposes. The American CIA was at war with the Soviets, who were doing the exact same thing. As were most of the other governments during the Cold War.
Looking back at the cold war, it is funny that the main way that the influence operation was exposed was by liberal journalists. Funnier now how the political right has coined the term “the Mockingbird Media” to describe the liberal, left-wing establishment that has taken over mainstream media.

My thoughts on this subject today were awakened due to the huge variety of news headlines about the political situation in Iran. Please see the following. Read them if you would like. But pay attention to the first and the last. Then ask yourself what the intention of the writers of each of these headlines.

It is just another day in the “News” cycle. But as you see, there is a wide variety of takes on the day. But it is the intention that makes you wonder. As purveyors of “news” where do they get off adding opinion. Now do not misunderstand me. I LOVE opinion-based stories. I like to know what people think. But when opinion, combined with manufactured narrative show-up, side by side, it is hard to take seriously. But worse is the time when a person received his “news” from only one source.
No Kings Propaganda
The second major piece in the News Cycle that I noticed was the NO KINGS protest. If you missed it, around the country somewhere between 700,000 and 8 million Kamla Harris voters (in over 4000 locations) took to the streets to show the world that . . . they still hate Donald Trump. SHOCKER!
The No Kings meme started in February of 2025 after the mainstream left lost the election and came up with a catchy phrase to call the President Hitler or Dictator . . . without actually saying Hitler or Dictator . . . which they then went ahead and said anyways.
This go around is particularly pathetic because they have even less to say. Tons of money spent. People dressed up to Cosplay their hatred. And the mainstream news media tried to report the event exactly as the organizers presented it.
I do not doubt that there were a lot of people that attended these events. But as I noted about, 700,000 and 8,000,000, are miles apart.
Back in June of Last Year, I wrote at length about these patriotic democracy lovers buffoons:
No Kings Day
The idea is pretty catchy. The Trump administration announced a military parade on July 14th – Flag Day and also to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the US army. It will feature all sorts of military things – tanks, soldiers, guns – as well as dignitaries and the like. But it is also Trump’s Birthday. AND it will cost the nation $45 million dollars.
The opposition has jumped on this fact (and maybe they are not completely wrong as Trump’s hubris and desire to piss them off are pretty high) and developed a massive counter protest called No Kings Day.
There will be organized protest marches across the country. They designed a catchy logo and ad campaign. No doubt millions of T Shirts have already been printed. And a groundswelling of social media Karens have been spreading the word where ever people will listen.
If you haven’t had the pleasure of looking into it, just go to Google (one of their closet sponsors) to see all of the “groundsweling” of popular uprising. What you won’t see is what that will cost. Please take a look at the logo above. It may look pretty simple. But let me tell you as a former branding expert, the cost for that campaign was well over half a million of prime Madison Avenue marketing expertise. That cost is likely absorbed by one of them taking one for the cause. But that is what is cost.
But buried on the No Kings website is a piece of absolute gold.
Their “partner’s” page. Over 204 sponsors who are offering their names and their support to the cause. I encourage you to look at them. And look them up.
Here is where the fraud of this whole thing comes in.
Grassroots – a silly political hack term used by politicians with no money who claim to have the support of the people will in give their time and money to fight for a cause. Like the roots of a grass lawn. Strong and wide and deep.
But I encourage you to study each of these 204 partners. Will you see Mom and Pop organizations? No. You will see well funded NGO’s fat with George Soros money. The ACLU. Bernie Sander’s warchest. Greenpeace. Every Climate Action group you can imagine (how many of them were given special checks in the first 3 weeks of January?) Black Voters Matter (Interesting twist of another popular name under new management). Planned Parenthood.
Let’s face it. Liberal groups no longer have to stick with one cause when the globalists will fund them to do so much more.
ALL to attempt to create an anti-trump frenzy. And if there is a chance of a violent outcome, they win.
If you look at the LA riots, it did not take long for a simple protest of immigration policy to turn into burning police cars, breaking concrete blocks for weapons and looting stores. And let’s face it. Our friend’s in that non-organization Antifa have been itching to breakout their black block storm trooper uniforms for the last 4 years.
Will it be the summer of protest? Will the National Guard do its job?
Again. We will see.
And ask yourself how many of the thousands of No Kings protest marches will feature the Pledge of Allegiance on June 14th – Flag Day.
Now there have been some changes since last June. There are now over 400 Partners. They have raised over $300 Million to fund these protests. And their major sponsor is none other than George Soros’ Open Society Foundation.
For all the money and effort they have put forth, I do not know whether to applaud them for all they have done . . . or just laugh my ass off at their stupidity.
Unfortunately, I am still connected on social media with people who joined in and were a part of these events. It surprises me how many of them are older (think Boomers), educated with advanced degrees, and still willing to be deluded by this propaganda campaign.
We might think that it would only be the less educated, simpler folk who would fall for an operation such as this. So much propaganda these days is super sophisticated. Not the No Kings however. It is like the Romper Room of protests. Their message is ridiculous and not supported by any reality. It is Fear. It is Hate. And it is the fodder for civil unrest.
Pay attention to this everyone.
