The End of the EV Mandate . . . for now
Wrapping your head around some of the machinations of the globalists can be quite a daunting task. Three times since this weekend I have seen stories touching on different aspects of the Electric Vehicle mandate. All from different sources and different perspectives. Tells me there is something to pay attention to. And it is doubtful that whatever it is happens to be the obvious thing.
These were the headlines:

I came across them while cruising around online. Different times. Different websites.
Since I read them, I began seeing more and more about it. Is this because the AI has me tagged and they are flooding me with similar content? Or is it something more?
The Tesla headline was what started my article yesterday about the Global Goals. I have wanted to delve into this anyway. But like the elephant that you have to eat one bite at a time, I could not figure out where to start. And since it is the Global Warming lie that has EV’s even being considered right now, I wanted to introduce the movement and the people who are probably behind it.
You see, the Narrative story wants us all to believe that the demand for electric cars is all as a result of do-gooder-environmentalist-scientist-heroes who are trying to save our planet. Why not. It is their fouled science that has us here in the first place. The logical history goes something like this.
The theory of Global Warming stretches back to the late1800’s. Svante Arrhenius, a Swedish scientist proposed in in 1896. With the help of others over the next 40 years developed the theory that Greenhouse gasses (Carbon Dioxide) would slowly turn the Earth into a greenhouse, increase the overall temperature and cause cataclysmic destruction (called the Greenhouse Effect).
The theory “gathered steam” in the 1970’s and became part of the movement (primarily by left leaning academics and activists) to eliminate Greenhouse gasses from society.
It was picked up by global movements and eventually was pushed through the United Nations and many other globalist organizations.
It was hyped in the early 2000’s by such figures as Al Gore in his movie An Inconvenient Truth (loved and slobbered over by the mainstream crown, even winning an Oscar).
The United Nations wrote “solutions” to this Global Warming (officially renamed Climate Change around 2012 or so when they realized that the Earth was not warming despite the cataclysmic amount of CO2 that was being released into the atmosphere.)
These solutions were included in their infamous Agendas 2015, 2020, 2030 and 2050. Among the more heinous of their solutions was to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to zero. What they do not say (out loud at least) is that this means complete eradication of petroleum or other fossil fuels to produce energy. All energy must be “green.” Solar, Wind, thermodynamic, water. THUS – eradicating ALL gas-powered cars. And that somehow this would mean we would all need Electric Vehicles.
These Agendas were then spread around like a virus (call it a globalist pandemic). Groups and movements like the World Economic Forum, The Paris Climate Accord, The Green New Deal wrote action plans for their followers to begin writing them into law.
In the US, under Obama, the government began writing policies (remember the famous quote from BHO himself about having a phone and a pen). Anything they could not get done with laws they did anyways. Nice progressive governors and mayors also began committing states, counties and cities to the same.
Do you remember Common Core? In addition to it being a complete fiasco designed to dumb down Gen Z, it also allowed the left to rewrite the curriculum. Any kid going through the school system between about 2005 up to now has “learned” all of the faulty science behind Climate Change and have totally bought into the concepts they are advocating.
Trump winning in 2016 put a temporary hold to their plans – leaving the Paris Climate Accord. But the 4 years of psychological war during that term helped to bog down any real plans Trump had toward slowing down the Climate Agendas. Remember it was in 2018 that brain-trust AOC put her name to George Soros’ Green New Deal.
When the Democrats assumed power after the COVID coup, they went on their mad spending spree – committing about $8 trillion in debt toward the Climate Change agenda.
SO . . . What is the problem with Electric Vehicles?
Here is where we must get to the heart of the problem. The logical argument to get people to buy electric vehicles is that they carbon net zero alternative to gas powered vehicles – thus will save the world when the gas-powered vehicles are eliminated.
Problem? There are so many underlying issues that render that logical argument as complete BULLSHIT! I will try to outline some of these fallacies here and ask you all to join in.
Global Warming itself – debunked. The Earth has actually cooled in the last 75 years contrary to their theory that the increase in CO2.
Electric Cars are Net Zero CO2 – the vehicle might be, but the electricity to charge the batteries is not.
Electric Cars are an equal alternative to Gas powered cars – Anyone who has been in a Prius will help you with that one. A couple points to pay attention to with the technology:
- battery technology cannot match the economics of internal combustion with power.
- Range on a charge significantly less that gas – infrastructure not in place to charge – Charging takes hours and not minutes like filling a tank with gas.
- Short term cost of batteries is VERY HIGH in comparison.
- Long Term cost cannot match – as the usable battery life is no more than 8 years in the BEST case. The battery will lose between 1-10% of its capacity per year
- Resale value is in the toilet.
- Replacement of a battery costs close to that of a used car
- Lithium cannot be recycled
- Lithium can lose stability and explode – to be fair, gas also explodes.
Until Tesla came on the market, Electric cars also suffered from the stigma (rightfully earned) that the cars were not cool. They were slower than gas cars. Who wanted to pay for a $35,000 golf cart when you could buy a Camry for $24,000 that was faster and had longer life and range.
If Elon Musk did anything for electric vehicles, it was to make them cool. Faster. Sleeker. More bells and whistles. Of course they cost over $50,000, but they were better than the weak alternatives out there. But as of now, they far and away outsell EVERY other electric car out there.
Cool got them there.
Back to the headline about Leftists turning away from all EV’s and not just Tesla. I will go into more of the economic arguments against the EV movement tomorrow. But this headline says so much.
Face it, the biggest market for buyers of EV’s are liberals who are convinced of the Climate Change agenda who are doing their part to save the planet by buying an inferior, more expensive car.
And they have had to face the hard fact that they man they saw as a Hero for making electric cars cool – was a Trumper. They then burned or gave away their Teslas (if they could afford to throw them out). Now it’s time to replace their car. AND GUESS WHAT? They are not choosing electric.
I now offer Elon a personal note of thanks for pissing them all off. But is it their hatred for Elon that taught them not to make stupid financial choices? Did they actually use their brains?
