Happy Monday! One man can make a difference and every man should try. ~Jackie O.
Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For You
Seeding thoughts into the public’s mind is the job of propagandists everywhere. They have been doing it since the beginning of time. And will continue so long as there is power that can be wielded and control that can be forced.
The Happy Monday message for today from Jaqueline Kennedy Onasis was one that made me think. Wherever or whenever she said it, I believe it was heavily influenced by her husband’s messaging in his inaugural address in 1961. It was a message to the country that helped to resonate his message for public service. And it has been ironically restated as remessaged ever since.
I recall my college speech class (one of those core requirements for every undergrad). My instructor pointed to a number of iconic speeches and speakers to bring home the idea of successful communication. Among those were Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, Roosevelt’s “Nothing to Fear” inaugural speech, King’s “I Have a Dream” and “Mountain Top” speeches and Kennedy’s “Ask Not.” Each of these speeches reached into the cosmic souls of the audiences and made a call to action.
And while historians may argue that these “calls” were made for positive purposes, I will still argue that there were much deeper implications and machinations behind them.

In case you missed yesterday’s message, I wanted to reshare it here, as I will be talking more about it tomorrow. The homework was to watch at least a part of the Tucker Carlson-Catherine Austin Fitts interview from a couple weeks ago. Post is linked here.

Dog Whistles
Anyone who believes that the language used in politics is not thought out painstakingly for its effect on the audience is being dense. As wikipedia describes it,
“In politics, a dog whistle is the use of coded or suggestive language in political messaging to garner support from a particular group without provoking opposition. The concept is named after ultrasonic dog whistles, which are audible to dogs but not humans. Dog whistles use language that appears normal to the majority but communicates specific things to intended audiences. They are generally used to convey messages on issues likely to provoke controversy without attracting negative attention.”
After a brutal and gruesome election last year, it is nice to have an off year. Unfortunately, I live in the greater Philadelphia area. This means we cover both Northern Delaware and South Jersey. Actually these 2 markets are close to downtown Philli than I am 60 miles northwest of it. But we all get the same commercials.
I note this because Jersey has a governor’s election this year. And if you do not know, Jersey is a DEEEP BLUE state. And what blows me away is the level of dog whistling going on in the commercial messaging. Being Deep Blue, they are pretty sure that whoever wins the democrat primary will win the governorship. There are 6 democrat candidates. Every one of them are running on their hatred of Donald Trump and Elon Musk. And how each are uniquely positioned to fight against them.
- Not about their insanely high property taxes and income tax
- Not about the rampant crime
- Or the polluted water
- Smelly beaches
- Unlivable traffic
- Insane tolls on everything.
- Drugs
- Organized Crime
- Lousy Education
No. Just Trump. And how they, as governor, will fight against him.
Now the Dog Whistle part of this makes them believe that Trump is the only issue that matters to the voters of The Garden State. And maybe they are right. Seems like the messaging for the Repubs could be pretty simple. We will see come Fall what we have to endure with the commercials. But I am afraid it will be more of the same.
The Democrats and the media are doing all in their sleazy power to keep the narrative focused on anything that may put them back in power. no matter how ridiculous the lies may be. And focusing the attention away from the fact that Trump and Musk are giving the US Government a well-deserved enema. And it is the deep state democrats that are being flushed out.
So when it is asked, “What can you do for your country,” you need to consider if your calls to action should be to 1) Pay Attention, and 2) Shout it as loud and proud as you can. Make America Great Again.
And speaking of what is flushed out
Last week and this weekend, Bruce Springsteen has been touring Europe. He has added a new spoken word vomit rant during his show”
In my home, the America I love, the America I’ve written about, that has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration.
Tonight, we ask all who believe in democracy and the best of our American experiment to rise with us, raise your voices against authoritarianism and let freedom ring!
Wow. What an amazing ambassador we have.
Someone might want to remind him that if you believe in democracy, you know that Trump was democratically elected as the President of the United States. He won a majority of the popular vote as well as the Electoral College. Isn’t that democracy?
