Southern Europe Goes Black
Are you prepared for when the SHTF (Shit Hits The Fan)? This is the mantra of preppers everywhere. What will you do when something happens and things fall apart?
The Iberian Peninsula (Spain/Portugal/France) had to ask this question yesterday when their power grid failed.
Think about this. 2 countries completely blacked out – a week after Spain declared that their entire grid was being supplied by Green/renewable energy sources. We will ignore that little bit for now. Because the mainstream of science and the Clownworld media is trying to let us know why it happened. And the list of reasons is . . . entertaining.

- A Rare Atmospheric Phenomenon
- Muslims
- Extreme Temperature Variations in Spain
- Terrorists
- Synchronized network across Europe
- Earth’s weaken magnetic field due to the shift in the magnetic poles allowed a solar wind Breakthrough
Lots of reasons. Some of them partially true. Many of them bullshit. Many of them designed to make Chicken Little squawk that the sky is falling.
And for the past 24 hours, Southern Europe was introduced to what happens their world (electrically speaking) comes to a halt.
A few years back, we experienced a 24-hour power outage after a Fall snowstorm downed trees in our neighborhood. If not for gas heat, losing power for that amount of time would have not been comfortable. But it was localized and we knew all would eventually be OK.
A SHTF event happens when people do not know what is going on. Fear, the government and crime take over. You choose whether to hunker down and wait it out or run for the hills. This is what people in the prepping community prepare for. Why they have batteries in their flashlights, extra food and water saved. Safety plans established. I have written a lot about this. For this event, 24 hours after the fact, more than half the power was restored in Spain and Southern France. Portugal took a little longer. Scanning the major news websites (Fox, ABC, CBS, CNN, Guardian, Al Jazeera) there is NO story about it on their home pages.
To find anything about it, you have to Google about the Iberian Blackout. And the stories you find (The Weather Channel, Euronews, The Mirror, Reuters) give an underwhelming shrug. There are a couple suggestions as to what happened. No Harm No Foul. Go about your business. Nothing to see here. Go back to sleep. Watch the Canadian Liberal Election coverage or the Trump 100 days in office tour.
Problem is this is dire. The cause, which to anyone knowing anything about Spaceweather is indicative of some of our worst fears. My top 10 list above showed the Good, the Bad and the Silly causes I had read or heard. And any one of them could have meant catastrophe. SHTF. Global bedlam.
The problem from the POV of the mainstream is that it does not meet any of their causes du jour. It cannot be blamed on Climate Change. Any close look WILL expose weaknesses in their Green Energy system. They want this to go away narrative wise.
Got your Tinfoil Hat Ready Yet
For better or for worse, this event was localized and controlable. There are people at REN ready to run for the hills. They can see how sensitive their system was. There are NWO types running all over Europe by now looking to see if there are other weak areas.
But if you have studied long term solar cycles, you know that the near future is not promising. And the best case scenario will be with people who are preparing for the worst. Whether that be tomorrow, in a year or 10 or 20 years.
