I pulled together information from a number of different sites to explain May Day. In my experience, this is an uncelebrated day in the US. The Pagan side makes the Christians nervous. The ties to Russia make the patriots nervous. And then there is the whole May pole thing that freaks out any adult on a playground fearing kids tying themselves up.
For me, its better to know. I like to know about celebrations around the world. And when possible, to join in the energy. As for the Beginning of Summer and the middle of Spring, I am all for it.
Beltane, also known as May Day, is one of the eight sabbats celebrated by Pagans, Wiccans and Witchcraft practitioners. It marks the beginning of summer and is celebrated on May 1st in the Northern Hemisphere. This festival is all about fertility, growth, and renewal.
May Day has its roots in astronomy? Traditionally, it was the halfway point between the spring equinox and the summer solstice! In ancient times, this was one of the Celtic cross-quarter days, which marked the midway points between the (four) solstices and equinoxes of the year.
The Soviet government marked May 1 as Day of International Solidarity with Workers. Its origins date back to Australia in 1856, when workers demonstrated for an 8-hour work day. This demand was picked up by anarchist organizations in the U.S. on May 1 in 1886. Demonstrations and marches in Chicago were broken up violently when a bomb went off and then police fired on the workers. There were many deaths and casualties among police and workers. Later hundreds of labor leaders were arrested and four were hanged. This was followed by more unrest.
A few years later, a congress of the Second International in Paris called on workers around the world to stop work on May 1. It was marked in Russia illegally until the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917. Beginning in 1918 it has been a public holiday in Russia, although the name and purposes have changed over the decades.

Tinfoil Hat day was yesterday. And the events being staged by the globalists at college campuses around the world are showing it.
First – If they think that anyone is paying attention to them and their idiocy, they are nuts. But we knew that.
Second – “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free.” There is nothing peaceful about this chant. The statement is clear. They will not be happy until the state of Israel is wiped off the planet and supplanted with . . . another arab-muslim exclusive state in the Middle East. And this is being perpetrated by a brainwashed mob of angry, liberal/progressive, US students (you can decide whether you think they might be citizens of the US or not). They are being directed by a series of “non-profit” organizations, funded by Globalist George Soros. Think Antifa, but they exchanged Black-Bloc with Arafat head-dresses.
Third – This one is funny (and that is funny ironic, not funny haha). Universities across the country are cancelling graduation ceremonies due to these protests. It is 2024. Back in 2020, graduation ceremonies were cancelled because of C0v1d. We now have a whole year of Class that has been kicked out of commencement ceremonies for their lives. Can;t wait to see how long these students will need safe spaces throughout their lives.
Fourth – the NYPD and police forces throughout the country have now been forcibly breaking up the Occupy-esque encampments. Protesters are being arrested. Protesters are being expelled.
In the meantime, the war in Gaza continues. Hamas still holds hostages. The Globalists keep blaming Israel for the conflict. What a fucked up mess.
All of this coming to a head like an infected zit on MAY DAY!
While all this is happening . . .
- President Trump is still on trial in NY for . . . lawfare. Nothing. BTW The judge issued a contempt charge against Donald Trump for violating his gag order. He did not throw Trump in Jail, but did issue a fine. $9000. Please tell me what the hell that is supposed to mean????
- President Brandon is poised to sign a treaty with the UN to enact Gun Control in the United States – controls that are clearly in violation of our Second Amendment guaranteed rights. That being said, all treaties must be ratified by a 2/3’s majority in the Senate. Not going to happen. It is all theater.
- Merrick Garland is in contempt of Congress – the same charge that he jailed Trump White House staffer Peter Navarro for refusing to sit for a Jan 6th hearing for.
