Full Cold Moon
I start with one of the cute mainstream nicknames for the Full Moon in December – The Cold Moon. So called as it is the beginning of winter at least in the northern hemisphere. You can find these in The Farmer’s Almanac and quoted on the Mainstream news. People in Florida and Southern California see the name and roll their eyes (never gets cold there).
For Astrologers, it is simply the Full Moon that occurs in Sagittarius or Capricorn during the month of December. For now, it is the Lunar cycle that began at the New Moon in Sagittarius – Tuesday December 12 at 6:32 PM. It is the Full Expression of the energy of that Sabian Symbol (21 SAGITTARIUS: a child and a dog wearing borrowed glasses). It is when the energy of this phase is more intense and worthy of paying attention to.
For everyone else, they are simply aware that the Moon is Full – and they notice it if the weather is nice enough to see its bright and shining face each night between the 24th and 28th of the month.
And what is the mainstream opinion of the Full Moon? It’s the crazy time. People are more intense. The Emergency rooms are fuller than usual with what nurses will agree are stranger cases. Teachers will admit that their kids are rowdier and harder to deal with. Prison guards will testify they are happier and safer during lockdown times – keeping the animals caged. In paganism, full moons are associated with heighten energy, emotions and power. In fiction, werewolves are activated by the full moon.
You may ask why does this occur? There is sound evidence to describe what is happening. At the Full Moon, the Earth sits directly between the Sun and The Moon. The gravitational pulls between the Sun (the strongest celestial body that affect the Earth – due to size) and the Moon (the second strongest celestial body affecting the earth due to proximity) are at their extremes. These “pulls” affect us all – and some of us more extremely than others.
I bring all this up as we here at home have been feeling its effects in the extreme. Add to the Full Moon a healthy dose of Mercury Retrograde and we have a world of fun.
Get Your Tinfoil Hats Ready
I like to point out evidence of batshit crazy on Tinfoil Hat Days. And today I found one. It was an as on Youtube as I was preparing to watch the morning video from Suspicious0bservers. The ad was for some group called schoolofthought.org.
It was one of those ads that they force you to watch like 15 seconds of before being about to skip to what you want to watch. What caught my attention was that they were talking about “conspiracy theories” and how their product will help to teach people how to detect them.
The advertisement worked. I had to check them out. And what I found was . . . nothing. What I mean by that is that their website – multiple websites – is cunningly designed. It answers a question in as erudite a way as possible. And offers a solution. To connect with them and “learn” from them. Kind of like OBEY if you ask me.
As I got deeper and deeper into the site, I become more and more disturbed by the depth and reach of what they are doing.
What I could not figure out was . . . who they are. Who created it. Who funds it. And What their end game is.
