Paying Attention

“In Washington DC, at a Metro Station, on a cold January morning in 2007, a man with a violin played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time, approximately 2000 people went through the station, most of them on their way to work.

After about four minutes, a middle-aged man noticed that there was a musician playing. He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds, and then he hurried on to meet his schedule.

About four minutes later, the violinist received his first dollar. A woman threw money in the hat and, without stopping, continued to walk.

At six minutes, a young man leaned against the wall to listen to him, then looked at his watch and started to walk again.

At ten minutes, a three-year old boy stopped, but his mother tugged him along hurriedly. The kid stopped to look at the violinist again, but the mother pushed hard and the child continued to walk, turning his head the whole time. This action was repeated by several other children, but every parent – without exception – forced their children to move on quickly.

At forty-five minutes: The musician played continuously. Only six people stopped and listened for a short while. About twenty gave money but continued to walk at their normal pace. The man collected a total of $32.

After one hour:

He finished playing and silence took over. No one noticed and no one applauded. There was no recognition at all.

No one knew this, but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the greatest musicians in the world. He played one of the most intricate pieces ever written, with a violin worth $3.5 million dollars. Two days before, Joshua Bell sold-out a theater in Boston where the seats averaged $100 each to sit and listen to him play the same music.

This is a true story. Joshua Bell, playing incognito in the D.C. Metro Station, was organized by the Washington Post as part of a social experiment about perception, taste and people’s priorities.

This experiment raised several questions:

In a common-place environment, at an inappropriate hour, do we perceive beauty?

If so, do we stop to appreciate it?

Do we recognize talent in an unexpected context?

One possible conclusion reached from this experiment could be this:

If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world, playing some of the finest music ever written, with one of the most beautiful instruments ever made…How many other things are we missing as we rush through life?”

Lessons in Paying Attention

I came across this story this morning. It spoke very closely to the other information that I wanted to talk about – mainly the lamestream media circus of lies. And how much of it we allow to wash over us and through us.

Let’s consider the news cycle of the last few weeks:

Gislaine Maxwell was convicted of grooming young women for Jeffrey Epstein. Two days later, the lamestream news programs all had HARD HITTING pieces about pedophiles and sex and perverts. I actually saw HOPE in the idea that they would take this seriously.

Less than a week later, all the investigative reporters have found other projects. Prince Andrew (you know the guy the British tabloids lovingly called Randy Andy in the 80’s and 90’s) is being almost exonerated from a potential civil lawsuit against him. Phew saved from that one.

Do you wonder why?

Joe Rogan – blogger extraordinaire – interviewed Dr. Peter McCullough. The Good Doctor is/was a mainstream hero a year and a half ago. Until he led a group of other Doctors putting together a protocol to treat people with C0v1d. You know with drugs like Hydroxychloroquine, Ivermectin, Remdisivir, Monoclonal Antibodies, etc. He was very quickly CANCELLED by the mainstream – led by none other than Dr. Death himself Tony Fauci.

The video was very quickly removed from youtube and silenced on every other mainstream platform. You can find it on all the lower tier platforms like Rumble and Gettr. Ask yourself Why.

Theranos founder and huckster Elizabeth Holmes was convicted of Fraud against the government (I think). She raised billions of dollars from the government and a bunch of Neocon and Neolib Elites. They threw around terms like Silicon Valley and Whistleblower and things like that in a 15 minute news expose on the morning show. It received the same level of gravitas as the Ghislaine Maxwell expose a week before. But they showed all of these “Elites” like Henry Kissinger and George Schultz. The news program neglected to show all the pictures of Barrack Obama, Joe Biden and Bill Clinton who helped give all that good government money away to Ms Holmes. But they were in there too.

All of this fraud happened over 6 years ago (remember back during the Obama administration – when they were giving away money to people like Solyndra – Theranos was another one of those failures). But frankly, until today, I had never heard of them. You wonder why?

BREAKING NEWS – The Breaking News vans are following President Joe around to catch him saying anything – and trying to make him look Presidential. Today and yesterday, they interrupted regularly scheduled daytime programming (soap operas and game shows) to have him drone on and on about C0v1d testing and mask mandates and vax1nes. I do not think they ever mentioned that there are over a million daily cases being reported (a pandemic record) or the utter failure of the vax protocols of stopping it. They also kind of skipped the fact that China has started wholesale lockdowns again. Funny they still are not claiming more than 4636 total Chinese deaths. Let me know why you lock down your country when there hasn’t been a death attributed to C0v1d in over a year.

Why Why Why???

Is it the Shiny Penny

The standard magician’s trick is to draw the audience’s attention to something shiny and pretty while doing something unexpected and magical with the other hand. “Look here at this shiny penny,” instead of the rabbit I am pulling out of my jacket pocket with my other hand.

How much of this trickery is going on on a daily basis? You would expect it of the government and people in power. It is their job to make themselves look good and thus keep themselves in power. But when we have the “Independent Media” doing it in order to prop up their favorites, you realize that there is NOTHING independent about them. They are simply part of the partisan political propaganda. And by actively paying attention, you can see it. Be aware of it. Prevent it from fooling you.

Maybe We Should Listen to Music Instead

Music soothes the savage beast. And more often than not, just makes me happy. And in the lesson shown by the story about Joshua Bell, beauty can be found in the most mundane of places. If we only spend the time to pay attention to it.

For the past 24 hours, I have been obsessed with a song. For me, it is a familiar one. It is an instrumental song that is on the original Celtic Christmas album y Windham Hill. But its not really a Christmas song at all. It is called Marbhna Luimni – or the Lament of Limerick. I invite you to enjoy it. It’s a better distraction than the Daily News.
