Today is Patriot Day. Odd name made up for the notorious 9/11. A Name made up to evoke patriotism and memories of how the tragedy that befell the world when the Twin Towers were struck and destroyed changed us forever. And no matter what the cause of the 9/11 (Islamic Terrortists, the cabal, the CIA, what have you) the impact on our society and our way of life was severe.
On the good side, we drew together as a nation. And to a lesser extent as a world. We felt together and for about a year even politicians argued less.
On the Bad side, we saw how a single attack could devastate the world. The USA went on a one week travel lockdown. The world economy tanked. It spawned The Patriot Act (a beautified term for the reduction in constitutionally mandated rights promised in the Bill of Rights regarding Individual privacy). It justified wars throughout the Middle East. More targeted terrorist attacks.
I will not be debating the causes today. But wanted to remind everyone about how fear can be used to control the world. Consider who actually benefited from spreading that fear.
Today, “A Table is set for an evening meal.” Look at 9/11 in light of the set table. The event affected us. Affected our world. Went into preparing ourselves for today.
The energetics of the day are filled with possibilities and potentials. We are best to focus on the positives.
