More on the Murder Hornet
Yesterday, I ended my report asking a question. WHY? Why did the national media focus on a localized bug problem? I will start with the obvious and then dig deeper.
FEAR FEAR FEAR – Have we become so bored or blind to the 24-7 Breaking News reports on the Killer Virus that the news needed to find something scarier? After seeing the story repeated ad nauseum on CBS, Fox, CNN ABC and NBC. The “News day” ended with Colbert making obscure jokes trying to tie Trump to the Murder Hornet (not a surprise).
There was the Story: “Crazy Huge hornet coming to America.”
The Danger: 1) It’s a big ass bug, 2) It rips the heads off of honeybees right in their hive, 3) Poison causes searing and debilitating pain for hours.
It’s from Asia: Great. Another killer bug coming from Asia. And guess what. Murder Hornets kill up to 50 people a year in Japan!
Documentaries: about how much it hurt: Moron scientists allowing the Murder Hornet to sting them and watching them writhe in pain and the sting site Swell to the size of a golf ball.
It’s Here! All the way from Asia. Seems to have bypassed Russia, Alaska and Canada to make it all the way to Washington State. Somehow I am wondering if it was first found stinging a patient at The Life Care Center of Kirkland Washington.
More on Health
I feel like I gave the list of things we should do to boost our health during the Pandemic a little bit of the short shrift. It was getting later and I wanted to get it posted. And, since I am not a licensed and certified “doctor”, and fear the FDA and the rest of the alphabet police trying to accuse me of impersonating one and sending me into what would be worse than the Facebook police, I was a little quick with the post. So I will revisit. And give a better explanation for the why’s.
First, supplements. The medical establishment DOES NOT RECOGNIZE the efficacy of nutritional supplements (aka vitamin pills). They will try to say that supplement manufacturers do not have to follow standards so you do not know whether what they say you are taking are what they are. They will then revert to the RDI Recommended Daily Intake of each vitamin. Here is an interesting website that outlines what “officials” say about how much of these vitamins you should take: https://www.lenntech.com/recommended-daily-intake.htm
It does not talk about the health benefits of increasing the amounts of different vitamins, and why you might want to. This is typical of the healthcare industry, which is misnamed. They are not interested in “Health”. They are interested in dispensing “cures,” which is what the Doctor’s licenses allow them to do. They are called “prescriptions.”
An Apple a Day – Good advice because apples are nutritional dynamos, packed with Vitamin C, Vitamin K and Potassium. Here is a great article I googled that talks about the nutritional value of apples: https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/10-health-benefits-of-apples#section4
But please do not stop at apples. You should increase your daily intake of as many naturally produced food sources as possible. This means fresh fruits and vegetables. Look at your kitchen. Take stock of what you are eating. How much of it is processed? How much is natural. This is a powerful exercise to go through. Then you realize how far off you may be from healthy eating.
I read a great article early on in the Plandemic published on Sol Luckman’s site that suggests some healthy choices you should consider. https://snooze2awaken.com/2020/03/23/6-strategies-to-keep-your-immune-system-detox-pathways-strong/
Also, after publishing my last article, a reader suggested adding zinc. Reminds me that my wife had sent me out to find zinc supplements early in the lockdown. I could not find anything of value (it was all picked through at that point). I did find some zing enhanced throat lozenges. They tasted horrible and were not worth the potential health benefit.
Exercise – In the first month of lockdown, I gained 10 lbs. Why? Because I was no longer running my ass off all over town with the kids. I was not walking across parking lots and through stores every day. I work from home, so the actual lockdown was not a shock to the system like people who were not leaving home every day for work or school. But a big part of my day was being out and about.
Not being out meant not driving around all the time (usually an hour a day or so). While it has saved gas, I miss out on music and talk radio. I miss the music. My family does not appreciate me playing music all over the house, so I have gone largely without.
Sunshine – This started in the Winter. It is still mid spring here in the US Northeast and we have suffered from a lot of overcast and rain. Not good for the soul. Get out in the sun.
