Happy Monday! Do something that makes your heart sing every day.

A funny thing happened on the way to the forum today. I had been all prepared to talk about a new book I am reading. This would have led to a long discussion about prepping and such. And while this is important and very relevant, I have to go another direction today.

I was hijacked by Happy Monday!. Not all of you know, but I used to write another blog called Brighter Side Now. It was a writing project I started in about 2011, and continued for about 4 years.

The “rule” of the blog was that I had to only write in the positive. That meant all negative words and references either had to be removed or had to be changed. I called it a writing project because it was at times incredibly difficult to do. If I was not in the right mindset, I had trouble writing. So I had to develop processes to change my mindset. This was great because this alone gave me hundreds of things to write about.

One of these “processes” was listening to positive motivational speakers. One of my favorites was Zig Ziglar. I was introduced to Zig back in about 1980. I was in 8th grade and had a class names See You at the Top, named after the book by Zig Ziglar. And funny thing. From the book’s description:

“It tells you how to set and achieve goals, and provides step-by-step instructions on how to change the way you think about yourself and your surroundings.”

Fitting.

And another Funny thing. Just last week I was searching around on Youtube (probably for music). And one of the videos I noticed served up for me by the mind-game-masters at Google was . . . you guessed it. A video from Zig Ziglar. I ignored it at first. But then over the weekend as I was going to bed, I came across it again. You see I usually find streaming music to listen to at night on Youtube.

So while I would not generally allow my tightly regimented system of going to sleep to be interrupted by such things, I played the Zig Ziglar video. It was about goal setting I think. It was about 9 minutes and I thoroughly enjoyed it. And since then, I have watched one of his videos each day.

Why? Why not. To feel better. To think better and to be better. (Now don’t go thinking I am about to go on some “Build Back Better” rant).

And Zig is not the only motivational speaker I follow. Another one that can help to get you in a better mindset is Ed Foreman (another “down-home Texan”).  On such useful quote was:

“You can have a Great Day, or a Lousy Day; it’s totally up to you.”

Another is one that I cannot exactly quote, but I can paraphrase it. He stated something like, “I’d rather be around a whole room of insincere happy people than around a single honest miserable one.” And I try to remember this one. When you are around unhappy miserable people, their misery can have a tendency to rub off.

A lot of the misery in the world is a choice we make. That choice can come from the people we are around, the things we choose to read or watch on television, where we work, where we play. How we choose to act on those stimuli may be what affects how we feel.

So speaking to the Happy Monday message of the day, it is a reminder to choose one thing every day that makes you happy That makes you feel good. And hell, why stop at one. But at least do one!

PS We are Void all day today – stuck between Leo and Virgo – somewhere between Confidence and Sensible. Treat it like a Mercury Retrograde. Pay Attention.

A month or so ago I had the opportunity to pre read Sol Luckman’s new book CALI THE DESTROYER. At the time, this is what I had to say about it.

“Imagine a future where our worst mistakes become celebrated and only connection with our true Mother can save us. Sol Luckman shows us, by bringing them to life in this remarkable novel, that the Gnostic mysteries hold the ultimate key to our collective salvation.” Andrew L. Foss

                     Click Here to Preorder!

This week, I sat down with Sol – through Zoom of Course – for a discussion about CALI THE DESTROYER. We talked about:

* The Fallen Goddess Scenario encoded in ancient Gnostic texts;

* The Creation of the Archons, our extraterrestrial overlords, and how we can reveal and dissolve their control matrix by awakening the Luminous Child within ourselves;

* The critical importance of music and sound healing in our conscious evolution and self-emancipation;

* The relationship between the Gnostic vision of the world and astrology;

*The nature of sacred scripture in relation to visionary fiction; and

. . . and that just scratched the surface.

Below is the YouTube teaser for this riveting and uplifting chat between two freethinking Gnostic researchers. The full video is available here. You can also listen to the podcast version here.

SUN: 24 TAURUS: An Indian warrior riding fiercely, human scalps hanging at his belt

EARTH: 24 SCORPIO: Crowds coming down the mountain to listen to an inspired man

The themes of the day fit well into my Day 2 discussion of the wiles of the left.

Yesterday I talked about the manipulation of the media, and Noam Chomsky’s list of 10 Media Manipulation Strategies. This list points to one of the main troubles that the left (in the hands of the Frankfurt School and its plants within American Academia). And that is that they were all a bunch of stodgy and boring academics. They were very powerful revolutionaries who had trouble articulating their message.

In the 50’s and 60’s, the kind of person they needed came into the fold. His name was Saul Alinsky. He was a “Community Organizer” from the Chicago area (sound familiar)? He took the ideas of Critical Theory and put them into action. He realized that he had to make it relevant. He had to make it actionable. He had to make it fun. Thus:

Rules for Radicals

The rules were published in a book with lots of stories and examples. But they are crystalized within the following list.

1. “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.” Power is derived from 2 main sources – money and people. “Have-Nots” must build power from flesh and blood.

2. “Never go outside the expertise of your people.” It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone.

3. “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.” Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty.

4. “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules.

5. “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.

6. “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.” They’ll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. They’re doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones.

7. “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.” Don’t become old news.

8. “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new.

9. “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.” Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist.

10. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.” It is this unceasing pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign.

11. “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.” Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog.

12. “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.” Never let the enemy score points because you’re caught without a solution to the problem.

13. “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.

This has been the playbook of the left in the United States ever since. It is not a coincidence that a young Hillary Clinton published a Thesis on Saul Alinsky in her early years. It is not a shock that Barrack Obama matriculated through the Community Organizer system in Chicago and was contemporaries with Bill Ayers, one of the founders of the Weather Underground, a militant communist group.

The thing about these organizations are that they are 100% legal groups of people practicing their right to free speech in the USA. But what happens when they cross the line and break laws.

In the world of today, these groups have reorganized, rebranded and renamed themselves. Now they go by names like Antifa and BLM. New names. Same playbooks.

New Moon – August 18, 2020 @ 10:41 PM

We come to the end of the Second Cancer Lunar phase of 2020. This evening will see the New Moon phase in Leo. I am including both the Astrology Chart for this morning at 7:00 AM EST as well as the New Moon Chart at 10:41 PM this evening for comparison purposes.

The Sabian Symbol for today and for this Lunar Month at 27 Leo is “Daybreak — the luminescence of dawn in the Eastern Sky.”

“The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the Third Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose above the mountains. The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.”

I mentioned before that I finished The Wheel of Time book series. The quote above sums up a lot about the series, as each of the 14 books start with some version of this. So let’s start the Leo New Moon phase with it!

So for me, I am beginning a few things.

A Diet – of Sorts.

If you have been following me for long, each year I go on a cleanse diet. I’ve done it for the past about 4 years. It is not specifically for losing weight, though each time I have done it I have lost between 10 and 20 lbs.

What I have followed is a 30 Day Reset. It is an extreme diet that takes lots of work. You must cut out ALL processed food and ALL processed sugar. What I am following is “Eat Well – 12 Habits of Success”

Each day they post a video with a Success habit to follow that will lead you toward better health. I saw the opening post and decided to follow it yesterday.  Today was the second Day, so I will list them here so far:
Eat Well – Habit 1 – Log your food
Why log your food?
  • Greater awareness of how often, what and how much you eat
  • Ability to know what foods nourish you, satisfy you or weight you down
  • A basis to ask questions, experiment and get feedback on our coaching calls
  • We find people start to eat more appropriate amounts for their needs, even just through logging
Have you logged your food before?
Did you like it, love it, or hate it?
Its a pretty good idea if you ask me. i started yesterday, using the friendly downloadable log sheet (Its like coloring pages for grown ups). And I have to say, it was super effective.
Every time I went to eat something – chips, a piece of candy, soda – I stopped myself and asked if I really wanted it. If I really needed it.
Eat Well – Habit 2 – Lead with Protein
It basically says that every meal should start with 20 grams of protein. Meat, Cheese, Nuts, Legumes. Protein is filling and it sets the building blocks toward better nutrition utilization.
If you are interested in this, you can find theis group on Facebook at:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/betterinaweek/
I will let you know how it goes.

Harry Potter – Defense Against the Dark Arts

As I mentioned the other day, i have started reading the Harry Potter Series. Monday morning I finished the Sorcerers Stone and I am now moving along through the Chamber of Secrets. I love the speed of reading YA books. Especially the first few Harry Potter Books. These were rolling far before the movies began. And while reading it, your mind’s eye still sees the characters as cartoony. But that doesn’t stop the fun.
I think that the Daybreak “luminescence” theme for the month speaks perfectly to the idea of talking about and finding ways of defending ourselves against the darkness that we see around us every day.  And the Ancient Pottery Bowl speaks of a rich and vibrant past – filled with ancient secrets. The Mystery Schools taught this information. Until they were forced underground. Or out of existence.
Stay Tuned!
