How to Naturally Care for your Liver

A little over a week ago, I began talking about things you can do to cleanse and protect your liver. I offered a few easy and inexpensive ideas – including drinking water, herbal teas and some natural supplements.  I cam acrtoss another list of good ideas to support a healthy liver that I also wanted to share. I am pretty much copying the list and adding my comments as well as some other insights I have found. The article will be linked at the end.

Now understand. We all know that we have a liver – as do most animals. And we know that it has a bad reputation as a food that kids do not like to eat – Think Liver and Onions.  Some people say it is very nutritious meat. Others say it is choc full of cholesterol. I always thought it was gross.

What it does for the body is that it filters and cleans our blood. When it does not work, your blood gets toxic and you get sick and die. So we want to do anything we can to keep our liver healthy.

Here is where we will veer away from our friends in the mainstream medicine world. Listening to them, they will say things like eat healty, get lots of sleep, drink lots of water (8 glasses a day) and avoid fried food.

So here is a list of positive things you can do that contribute to a healthy liver:

  1. Walnuts – and the operative thing here is Omega 3 fatty acids. You find these in Salmon as well. This is especially helpful if you have fatty liver disease.
  2. Olive Oil – If you are not yet a fan of EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil), you should work on it. From my own experience, it is not all that useful for deep frying. But lets face it, deep fried foods are not what you should be eating for your health. Olive Oil substitutes perfect in most places you would usually use Vegetable oil or Canola Oil or Corn Oil.
  3. Lemons – Lemons have antioxidants – most well known of which is Vitamin C. In my experience if you are looking to use it as your daily source of Vitamin C, you will have to eat a lot of them (3-4). But otherwise the smaller portions are good as part of your daily diet. Lemon in your water does more than just kill the taste (if you are drinking nasty tap water). And if you add it to nice spring water it just tastes better.
  4. Grapes – The study they cite is for Grape seed extract, but I like the idea. I wonder if it works for wine. Table grapes are tasty snacks. We like red grapes here. And my 12 year old more often than not will disappear with the whole bag and demolish them in one sitting.
  5. Switch from White to Whole Grain bread – White bread is really not that great for you. Yes it tastes good. But nutritionally it is nothing to write home about. A whole grain bread offers huge advantages. The nutrients in whole grains stabilize inflammation and insulin, which are both markers of liver cancer. The article suggests whole grain pasta too – you know that crap that Michelle Obama forced on school lunches making them all but inedible. That’s up to you. Whole wheat is healthier.
  6. Carrots – They are a great source for beta-carotene which helps to flush the liver.
  7. Coffee – Oh come on. This is too easy. They recommend 3 cups a day. They do not indicate whether this means bougie Starbucks Coffee milkshakes. For me, I drink it black, so it will work!
  8. Grapefruit – Grapefruit has two antioxidants; naringin, and naringenin, which can guard the liver. I always wonder about grapefruit. It seems like there are so many Big Pharma formulations that suggest you should not eat grapefruit while taking them. Hmmm. Something to pay attention to.
  9. Soy – Things like Soy milk and Tofu. It’s a great source of plant based protein. Also it interacts well in the body and beneficial to the liver.
  10. Green Tea – not the supplements, but the tea – 5 cups a day. I cannot imagine adding lots of sugar or fake sweetener is good, but just the tea.
  11. Turmeric – Curcumin – A spice we know little about here in the west. Its one to be careful with, because you can have too much. But its good as part of your diet.
  12. Broccoli
  13. Cranberries
  14. Legumes – Beans, Lentils and Peas
  15. Garlic
  16. Cabbage
  17. Spinach
  18. Blueberries
  19. Avocado
  20. Beets

You can read the whole article here. There are many more details. But there are a ton of ads that can suck you in. Good Luck  CLICK HERE

Another thing that I have tried is Castor Oil – a Castor Oil pack. This is a little odd, because it is a mess. Castor Oil is one of those Grandmother Cures that all of us kids looked at sideways growing up. I remember watching the Little Rascal (the original 1930’s shorts) where they would be threatened with Castor Oil by their parents. But it also made its way into cartoons like Tom and Jerry.

From what I always gathered, it was was used for constipation. The packs may help that. I do not know. My reason for trying it was for the potential to help cleanse the liver.

My experience so far – mixed. First you have to find Organic, Cold Pressed Castor Oil. It took me a few weeks to find it. You can always find it on Amazon. But it was available locally as well.

Castor oil is sticky and gross. It is not clean like Olive Oil. Its messy. You prepare a pack by taking small sheets of cotton cloth (flannel) and soaking them in the oil. Then you apply them to your skin above your liver and cover it. Here is wehre the mess comes in. Because it oozes out and gets all over your clothes if you are not careful. If you do it right, you can keep it pretty clean. I used it one night for about 5 hours. I do not know if it dd anything, but will continue working with it and check back.

Happy Monday! Believe in yourself, push your limits, experience life, conquer your goals, and be happy!

For the first time in the History of Astrogardens, I must print a Retraction. I do this because something that I published over the weekend was a blatant lie and I did not indicate that in the text.

This was from Saturday with my post about Question Day. I made up a question to make people believe that the Late Night Talk Show hosts had done something. I made it up. Here is the question:

Would it shock you to find out that the Late Night Talks Show Hosts (Colbert, Kimmel and Fallon) all stained the back of their trousers brown in solidarity with Joe Biden?

It is true that I did not actually say that they had done this. But it was a pretty direct hint. And since you read it and it sounded far too plausible, most of you shook your head in disgust about how sickening they were and kept reading.

So I sincerely apologize to Mssrs. Colbert, Kimmel and Fallon for indicating that they might have done something funny on their shows that they in actuality did not. I also apologize to ABC, NBC and CBS for trying to indicate that their hosts did something funny. Anyone who has watched these shows knows that they no longer do that.

In Other Late Night Comedy

Over the weekend, Saturday Night Live had the opportunity to break comic gold by featuring jokes about the President shitting his pants in front of the Pope. They also could have made Fart Jokes about Joe Ripping a horrible stinky wet fart in front of Camilla Parker Bowells while at the Globalist Climate Affair. It was funny enough for every British Publication to publish it on page one Sunday Morning. But did the NY Times, WaPo, USA Today, The Chicago Sun Times or any other trash rag in this country mention it? Did CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC or NPR mention it? Hell  No!

I googled “Camilla” and found this on The Independent.uk website. It was just one example:

Shocked Camilla ‘hasn’t stopped talking about’ hearing Joe Biden ‘break wind’ at Cop26 in Glasgow

‘It was long and loud and impossible to ignore,’ source quoted as saying

And people still ask why the US media is referred to as FAKE NEWS. Donald Trump tweeted the word “covfefe” once and it made headlines for over a year. Let that one sink in.

Pay Attention!

P.S. – I had an ulterior motive toward printing this Retraction. It allowed me to draw attention to it again. I REALLY thought it was funny!

Happy Monday!  “Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.” – TS Elliot

Yes another Happy Monday. And an important one at that. The calendar tells me that it is Columbus Day here in the States and Thanksgiving Day up in the Great White North of Canada. For the latter, I do not know whether they celebrate by eating Turkey or Moose.  Canadians, please enlighten us. Because the food offered on US Thanksgiving Day is my favorite meal of the year.

As for Columbus Day, I have no clue. Last year it seemed that the mob (The Antifa/BLM mob and not the Mafia) was knocking down every Christopher Columbus statue and trying to rename every Park and Street named after him. Weren’t they trying to rename in “Indigenous Peoples’ Day”?  I just googled it to find out, and found the Sleepy Joe, 3 days ago, officially declared that it is Columbus Day. Thinking about it, If Trump had made such a declaration, there would have been protests and Burning of effigies of Trump across the Country. Sleepy does it and there is a collective yawn that is not even carried in the National Papers (at least not enough to show up in a basic Google search).

Columbus Day was always funny to me growing up. We did not have the day off (officially neither do most schools, but around here, most of the schoold declared an “In Service” day for the teachers – giving the kids a long weekend anyways). It was the day we did Art projects that included the Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria (the biggest of the 3 ships). They told us that none of the leaders (called kings and queens back then) wanted to fund the Mission. Everyone was convinced the world was flat and that he would sail off the side of the world. Thinking about this, you start to wonder the level of deceit that has always been involved in the education of children. Because this “world view” is what was pervasively taught throughout my school career.

Something they did not teach us was about all the diseases that Christopher Columbus personally brought over to the New World. I just found an article that put the blame directly on Chris and named all of them. It came from Business Insider See it HERE.  And check out this crazy list. And to think, back in 1492, no natural immunity and NO V@X1nes:

  1. Smallpox
  2. Measles
  3. Influenza
  4. Bubonic plague
  5. Diphtheria
  6. Typhus
  7. Cholera
  8. Scarlet fever
  9. Chicken pox
  10. Yellow fever
  11. Malaria
  12. Lyme disease
  13. Q-fever (bacterial disease carried by cattle, sheep, and goats)
  14. Leishmania (parasitic disease)
  15. Whooping cough
  16. African sleeping sickness (parasitic disease)
  17. Filaria (parasitic disease)
  18. Dengue
  19. Septicemic plague (one of the three main forms of the plague)
  20. Schistosomiasis (parasitic disease)
  21. Anthrax
  22. Botulism
  23. Tetanus
  24. Toxoplasmosis
  25. Taeniasis (tape worms)
  26. Staphylococci
  27. Streptococci
  28. Mycotic diseases (fungal diseases)
  29. Syphilis
  30. Legionellosis (bacterial disease)

And exactly how they came up with this list is up for debate. The funny claim this article makes is that disease killed 95% of the indigenous people on Hispaniola (for anyone who does not have the updated political maps memorized, that means the Dominican Republic and Haiti). That means, within a 25 year timespan, approximately 236,000 out of 250,000 total natives on the island died of disease.

Exactly how the medical geniuses came up with this is beyond me. If you recall, back in 1492 they were still using leaches to bleed diseases out of people and the streets were filled with human waste (that is piss and shit for all of you thinking it was old bags of fritos, beer bottles and banana peels).

A Question of Risk

But per the Happy Monday quote for the day, the thought for this Monday is about Risk. And how far are you willing to go  to reach a new level? What is your acceptable risk level? And do you really know how far you can go?

It’s a question I have asked myself a lot over the past few years. Am I risk tolerant or am I risk averse?

I have put this question as synonymous with “am I young at heart” or “am I old”. When we are young, we risk a lot. We try scary things. We climb on rooftops. Go on Roller Coasters. Climb mountains. Drive fast cars. You get the idea.

As you get older, is it that we realize our fragility? Or do we take on responsibilities so that we have more to lose if things go wrong?

Consider Columbus. He was about 40 years old when he travelled to America. He had been a sailor for most of his life. His wife died while he was at sea on a trip in Africa. Travelling 600 years ago opened you up to a whole lot of danger. Risk was everywhere. And that was just a job. But also consider what the potential reward would be for success. In his mind, this would be a faster way to trade with the Far East – China and India. He had no idea (so the history books tell us) of what he would discover. A whole new world.

Now consider your own profession. What kind of risks are you taking when you go to work? Are you climbing cell phone towers? Working in a factory? Sitting at a desk? Serving burgers and fries? There are risks in everything we do. The question is whether the payoff it worth the risk.

You put these risks up against the idea of what you risk by not doing these jobs. Is there an easy route to riches? Usually not. If there were, everyone would be doing it.

But there are always chances . . . opportunities . . . to find a new way of doing things. A new way that might change the world. Is it a Gold mine or a diamond mine? Then consider people like Steve Jobs. Or Bill Gates. Or Jeff Bezos. Or Mark Zuckerburg. They came up with ideas that no one else had been able to make work. And they created their own Goldmines. It took risk, definitely. They risked their livelihood. Their reputations. Their futures. And struck out in directions that others did not see.

We need more of this kind of thinking. Is it Genius? Is it luck? Or is is just a willingness to risk it all.

What are you willing to risk?

Sunday is my Black Moon Transit Day. It is the day where the Sun Opposes my Natl Black Moon at 18 Aries. On this day, my black moon is activated. It happens twice a year – for me when the Sun is at 18 Aries (April 6th) or 18 Libra (October 10th). What does this mean for me?

BLACK MOON
On the days of the year that your natal Black Moon is activated, typically one can
expect: lower energy levels, heightened anger/depression, impulsivity, speaking
harshly before thinking, extreme intolerance of injustice, negative thinking/mind
loops, and projecting one’s own feelings on to others. The core fear of the shadow
side comes to the surface.

To identify your natal Black Moon (core fear) and for more information, see the
Appendix of The Black Moon: Guide to Healing the Shadow Side by Laura Walker at
www.oraclereport.com/books

And wouldn’t you know it. The moon is opposing the black moon as well. Double whammy for me.

As I say with Astrology, it is best to know what is happening. This energy does not say you will feel these thing. Just that it caries this potential.

If you do not know your Black moon Days, it is easy to look up. Check out Laura’s book – link above. You can look up the location of your Natal Black Moon.  Then mark it on your calendar – as well as the opposing sign.

Crescent Moon Phase – challenge, growth, struggle, expansion

– Moon in Scorpio

– Retrograde Planets – Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter, Neptune, Chiron

– Best Days (from the Farmer’s Almanac) –  September 10th – 11th – Cut Hair to Increase Growth, Wax Floors, Cut Firewood, Dig Holes, Mow to Increase Growth

– Planting Calendar (from the Farmer’s Almanac) –  September 10th – 11th – Start seedbeds. Excellent time for planting aboveground crops that can be planted now, including leafy vegetables which will do well.

– Aspect of the Aeon Sophia: (Wisdom): Shodashi (The Goddess Who Creates Form) and Matangi (Goddess of the Wind)

– Aspect of the Aeon Thelete: (Will/Desire): Kathe is Coming with the Solstice – God of the South

– Sabian Symbol for the Solar-Lunar Month – New Moon in Virgo: “A fine lace ornamental handkerchief” (& “an officer drilling his men in simulated attack”)

– Sabian Symbol for the Solar-Lunar Year: “A Woman in pastel colors carrying a heavy and valuable but veiled load”

SUN– 20 VIRGO:  A caravan of cars headed for promised lands

EARTH – 20 PISCES: A table set for an evening meal

A look at the calendar and I found that the calendar people are calling today Patriot Day. That’s a little over-reachy if you ask me. I think most people are fine with just 9/11. The television is filled with remembrance shows – making us relive the terror of the moment.

I can’t help to think how much of a fine line they are walking. No doubt the DNC had other expectations for the story they could be telling. But the Taliban just would not cooperate with the comic-book Captain Biden story they were crafting.

Here we are 20 years later, trillions of dollars, Thousands of allied lives and completely unknown numbers of middle eastern lives. And in no different place than we were before the towers came down.

An interesting observation I just read from The Atlas Society:

Democracy is a superficial feature of free societies. It depends on a political culture in which people accept the outcome of elections, which depends on constitutional principles with which electoral parties must comply.  This in turn depends on the rule of law, an independent judiciary, and principles of individual rights. Democracy doesn’t work in a society based on tribal loyalties, strongmen, and corruption—which we never expunged.

This was written specifically about Afghanistan and the Middle East. It was the goal in Afghanistan to establish Democracy. But was that goal a realistic one that would establish the society that we expected? Two months of the US withdrawal from Afghanistan pretty much gives us the answer.

But the observation is even more interesting when you change its focus from the Middle East to our own shores. Ask yourself exactly how successful we look right now in light of this thought. As they exited the Constitutional Convention, Benjamin Franklin was asked what kind of government do we have? “A Republic,” he replied, “if you can keep it.”

Song of the Day – Bad Reputation

I have always felt that Joan Jett channels energes into her music that a whole lot of people were not feeling on their own. But once she taps it, we are all feeling it. It was the drums beat in this song that poked me today though.

Virgo Cycle Shodashi is On Duty

Followers of the Oracle Report have been known about the lunar cycles and how the Mahavidyas are on duty to support us during the lunar cycles. More often than not, Shodashi is on Duty during the Virgo Cycle. Shodashi is the Goddess who aligns with the Highest and Best. Goddess of Beauty. Goddess who destroys the Demiurge. When I think Shodashi. I hear music. Especially Drums.

She rarely works alone and usually works alongside Matangi. Matangi is the Goddess of the Wind. The administrator. The goddess who purges and clears.

In addition every summer (at least summer here in the north), On Duty among the Knights of Thelete is Kathe. God of the South.

It’s All Music

I noted that when I experience Shodashi, its all about the music.

I always have a song in my heart. And a song on my mind. And when I am hearing it loud, I tend to think it is coming from somewhere. And not just from the radio or TV. For me, when Shodashi is on Duty, this happens more that usual. And I think that it may be multiplied with Kathe, whose energy is all about frequency and Vibration. Aligning with Kathe’s energy feels like a jam session – call it the music of the gods.

When the two come together in the Virgo cycle, they attract some beautiful music.

Music of This Cycle

So starting with the New Moon last Monday, it has been coming in loud and clear. So I would like to share it with the tribe as it comes to me. Each day I will be sharing the Song that I am feeling. Listen for the Jam. Listen to the Drums. Feel the music.

Monday-Tuesday – Ramble On

The New Moon came in at 8:51 PM Monday Night. And the Song of the Day started Early and played loud. It is Ramble On by Led Zeppelin. Shodashi often vibes with Zep, as I expect will come forward in the next few weeks. Take a listen:

Wednesday – Birds Fly

This is an obscure sone by Icicle Works. As the name implies, this could be a Wise Owls theme song.

Thursday – White Rabbit

Taking us down the Rabbit Hole today. This is always a favorite of mine. But it comes with another special message. I heard it as background music for a movie trailer – For the New Matric movie coming out this December. I have the song linked below. But if you want some real fun, go to Youtube and search for the Matrix Resurrection movie trailer.

Friday – Yer So Bad

Hope you enjoy this little journey. Will be posting each day as they come at www.astrogardens.com.

Of Note with the Black Moon Opposition while conjunct the Nodes (North Node specifically) From Laura Walker’s The Astrology of the Black Moon: A Guide to Healing the Shadow Side.

Transiting Black Moon – Natal North Node
When the transiting Black Moon conjuncts the natal North Node, we
begin to experience a dramatic change or breakdown in some area of life
that is blocking the path of what is in our highest and best interests.
Obstacles to our destiny begin to fall away. We feel the need to move
beyond the restrictions of the past. Although this is often challenging,
hindsight will reveal how the changes were necessary to allow other events
to unfold.

Transiting Black Moon – Natal South Node
When the transiting Black Moon conjuncts the natal South Node, we
begin to experience a recurrence of some element from our past.
Problems or situations that were unresolved return in order to be
reconciled. We are likely to become uneasy or uncomfortable with
routines or anything that is outworn. It is the nature of the Black Moon
to clear and refresh any part of life that restricts us from actualizing our
fullest potential and the conjunction with the South Node tries to move
us in another direction.

SUN – 20 LEO: American Indians perform a ritual to the Sun

EARTH – 20 AQUARIUS: A large white dove bearing a message

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change just released a report that is being lauded and celebrated by the mainstream for Saying EVERYTHING that the IPCC has been about since it started in 1988.

Their Mission is to advise the United Nations about what to do about . . . Man Made Climate Change.
Funny thing. Their report reflects their EXACT mission from the outset. And the Funnier thing about this specific report is that it completely ignores the SCIENCE.
This video points out their obvious shortcomings.
YOU WILL NOT SEE THIS IN THE MAINSTREAM NEWS. Enjoy while its still available.

“The world is watching, and the future may depend on how well we understand these changes and the challenges they present.”

This morning I posted a comment on the Suspicious0bservers daily spaceweather video. This is all a call to action. The question is, What can we do? Here is the message:

Thank you Ben for fighting the good fight and keeping the fire on the feet of the academic world. It is a fight that the data is on our side – despite their zombified persistence and holding onto the same data that brought us “An Inconvenient Truth” and pictures of baby seals getting clubbed to death in the artic.

The question that we need to address is the Endgame. If magnetic excursion is happening, which the data and your modeling suggests, what do we need to do about it? You have the Ranch. The Billionaires have their bunkers and rockets up and down the New Valley of the Sun. And the lamestream has Vogue magazine vetting Gretta Thunberg and commercials with multi-lingual children picking up trash and riding bicycles in parks.
They are in control of the narrative. We need to take it back with an equally powerful and equally useful story of our own. We need to SCREAM this is what you have to do! And then wrap it with teddy bears and bunches of flowers – if that is what the F— will sell it!
If you know a group that is looking to take over the narrative – following the real science – I am there. Let me know!
Now if you missed the IPCC news . . . well then you must have been camping somewhere with no access to electronics or out of the range of the loudspeakers. Good for you.
But there was another pretty groundbreaking event last night. Mike Lindell, the owner of My Pillow and the target of Mainstream constant attack because he questions . . . well everything they say, hosted a symposium to discuss the fraud involved with the election process and the efforts of the progressive left towards legitimizing all the bullshit they have been saying.
Check out the Opening video for the event and decide whether it’s a rabbit hole you choose to go down. It’s all pretty dark.
