What the F is ESG?

This spring, Elon Musk made an obscure statement that got mostly ignored by the media. Was it because they didn’t understand it? Possibly. Or was it because they did understand it and wanted to make sure everyone else did not? More likely.

The not understanding it is pretty easy. ESG is an acronym being used in global finances and investing. It stands for “Environmental, Social and Governance.” It is a self-designed system created by the UN (United Nations) about 20 years ago. And with the Brandon Administration, it has become an evil monster that seeks to FUNDUMENATALLY TRANSFORM our way of life.

Per wikipedia, and likely written by some noodle-head at the UN, its definition is:

Environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) is a framework designed to be integrated into an organization’s strategy to create enterprise value by expanding the organizational objectives to include the identification, assessment and management of sustainability-related risks and opportunities in respect to all organizational stakeholders (including but not limited to customers, suppliers and employees) and the environment.

When you get through all the gobbledegook in that single sentence, what it means is that they expect organizations (specifically anything traded on the stock exchange) to have in place systems to make them more WOKE with regard to the environment and social goals determined by the UN.

They way they wrote it, it sounds either not so bad or kind of a good and positive thing. But that is exactly the problem. They are seeting standards based on their own wierd political believs that they are trying to promote happening.

When Agenda 2021 and the rest of their distopian agendas came out, most people rolled their eyes as none of twhat they were saying was even possible to implement across the hundreds of different nations. And despite receivine UN votes in favor of it, they were not enforcable.

But now we see that they have “forced” their agenda in non-legal ways. They were simply slipped in the back door.
There was not law in the United States saying the corporations had to follow these “suggestions.” However, with ESG being promoted through ALL FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS DOING BUSINESS WITH THE WORLD BANK, it just kind of happens. Suddenly Citibank, B of A, the Fed, NYSE, etc. etc. have internal rules implemented that they say they are following.

You have the S&P 500 index (Standard and Poors ranking of the top 500 companies) and the S&P 500 ESG Index
measures the stock value of some of the largest companies in the U.S. which meet certain sustainability criteria. It is similar in scope to the original S&P 500 Index, but aims to help investors choose between companies based on their commitment to strong ESG goals.

The companies on the index are filtered for participating in certain industries deemed antithetical to ESG goals—such as tobacco and controversial weapons manufacturing—and for their scores under the United Nations Global Compact, a global framework of corporate social responsibility. Finally, companies with the lowest scores relative to their peers are excluded from the index.

So what they are basically saying is that in the financial markets, you will be rewarded for following the ESG rules. And if you don’t you will either be charged more or be denied for financing. Not because you are a good company the supplies a superior product or higher quality or better delivery. But because you fall in line with the Environmental, Social and Governance rules. You support the Green new Deal. You force employees to take Critical Race Classes, you support the “accepted” governmental practices.

No it is not law. But it will guide the economy if allowed.

Consider also the Executive orders and such enacted by the Brandon administration for the Fed. Magically, any company that was in the petroleum industry could not get financing . . . or were downgraded. THIS is the US government taking sides in private business.

They shut down the pipelines. They stopped drilling on public land. They reduced production. In the end, they cancelled Energy Independence in the US. As a result, the price of Gasoline went up (transportation). The price of Natural gas went up (heating and manufacturing). They have strangled the economy. Add that to the Trillions of dollars in spending bills, targeted to ESG friendly companies and industries, we have the Perfect Inflation and Recession Storm. And when Janet Yellen declares publicly that she did not realize that all these things might cause the inflation we are seeing, they she is either a bald faced liar or she is criminally stupid. And one look at her educational pedigree will tell you that she is not stupid.

So of the many things you should be looking at when it comes to our government and our lives, you must pay attention to what they are doing that they are trying to have you not look at. Call it sleight of hand. Call it corruption. I know what I call it.
