How Will “History” Be Written?

In my almost 55 years on this planet, I have seen a lot of history. The Summer of Love. The Civil Rights Act of 68. Martin Luther King Jr. and Bobby Kennedy assassinated. The First African American appointed on the Supreme Court. First Man Walking on the Moon. Woodstock. And all that before I was 4 years old. And Before my time, The Beatles, JFK Elected and Assassinated.

These moments defined the History of what we know as the 60’s And I did not even mention the drugs. But consider what parts of our history that have been forgotten:

Did you know that JFK had multiple sexual affairs while President of the United States including with Superstar Marilyn Monroe?

Did you know that the longest filibuster in United States History was in 1964 and it was orchestrated by Democrats in order to stop the Civil Rights Act from Being passed.

Did you know that 27 Democrats voted no or did not vote for the confirmation of Thurgood Marshall (that number of Republicans was 4)

Did you know that a HIGHER number of Democrats voted Against the Civil Rights Act of 1964 than Republicans?

Did you know that a HIGHER number of Democrats voted Against the Civil Rights Act of 1968 than Republicans?

Please understand that much of the voting against Civil Rights had very little to do with party affiliation. The people who voted against Civil Rights were from the South. And a majority of them were Democrats. But every point about it has since been left out.

Did you know that after the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1968, President B. Lyndon Johnson was reported to have said, “I’ll have those n—–s (expletive used only by racists and Rap/Hiphop stars) voting Democratic for 200 years.” I say it’s “reported” because it was not recorded and the people who he said it to officially denied it . . . at least for a while they did.

That was the 60’s

I graduated the 60’s at age three and a half. So I have no memories of what happened. Just what people said. History books did not teach the 60’s when I went to school. I have not red what they say today. But I am doubting much of what I put up above made it.

The Seventies and Eighties were much clearer in my memories. Nixon was a crook. Ford was a buffoon. Jimmy Carter was an idiot at both domestic issues and international. Reagan was a savior. Turned the economy around and broke the back of the Soviet Union. Somehow the way History Books show it, things were different. Carter was a “Nice and Honest” guy. and Reagan was mired in controversy.

Why? Because Progressives Write the History books.

Academics and Universities are haven’s for the political left. Take a poll of the political persuasion of University professors today. I will be generous and say that only 85% of them fall on the left. I would also guess the same percentage holds true for mainstream journalism.

They write the News. They write the History. And they shape it according to their personal biases. You can deny this if you would like. Then I would suggest you go back to your hobbit hole, smoke a pipe and

How many people today are aware that America’s past experiments in Prohibition, ethnic discrimination, and eugenics were all once fervent policies of progressivism? How many people know that Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, was a fervent racist and wanted abortion to thin the population of Minorities? Just google “The Negro Project” to find out.

Now Let’s Consider the C0v!d 19 Pandemic

How do you think History will write this one?

This article started from another article from the Mises Institute asking about how Progressives are going to rewrite the story of the C0v1d pandemic. They came to a few conclusions that I will outline here. I wanted to just cut and paste it. But it was written in academic gobbledegook.

Their Conclusions

They will Claim They Opposed Lockdown and Mandates: All major media and public health agencies will be on record as having opposed further lockdowns and vaccine or mask mandates. If nothing else, they will still be in charge when covid hysteria finally does end for good, and ending those policies will be their official final word.

It was Society – Progressive commentators referring to those policies not as things they supported, but as things that were done by “America” or by “society.” This will be “a time for healing,” not a time for blame.

The history books will likely include two broad facts, both of which will be as true as they will be misleading.

Started under Republicans -First, they will say lockdowns, mask mandates, and the development of the mandated vaccine all began during the Republican Trump presidency.

Solved by Democrats – Second, they will likely be able to say those policies were all ended during the Democratic Biden presidency. These facts will associate in the minds of a generation the onset of such policies with a politician linked to conservatism (which libertarianism will be lumped into) and the discontinuation of those policies with a politician linked to progressivism.

The first textbooks to discuss the covid era from the perspective of history, a history which will have to concede the disastrous consequences of the policies that were implemented, will be read by children who were not yet alive or were too young to remember it. This will be the first generation to form an understanding of the covid era who did not live through it themselves.

This piece of wisdom is what made me recall the 60’s and how they have been written in the last 50 years. You never read that a majority of African Americans (including Martin Luther Kings Jr.) up until the 60’s were Republican. And History will never admit about that quote from Lyndon Baines Johnson. But then “History” did its best to make it come true.

Postscript

Last April, CNBS News reported on a poll taken of 300 Political Scientists from the American Political Science Association’s Presidents & Executive Politics section. The Poll was taken by The Brookings Institute (who both the LA Times and the Washington Post describe as Center-Left or Left-Leaning). The Poll – To Rank the most Divisive Presidents in our History.

The Winner . . . Donald Trump. The most divisive President in United States History (according to them)

Now Let’s count the biases. 1-Brookings Institute, 2-Political Scientists, 3-Leaders of the American Political Scientists Association, 4-A Poll taken right after Donald Trump Left Office after a contested election and 5-the Democrats were in the process of Impeaching him for the second time.

Do you think these factors would have come to ANY OTHER Conclusion?
